Sugar

Every time I watch Survivor, I feel like I've seen my girl. Maybe it won't translate in pictures, but man, Sugar reminds me of her. Especially back in the day. (She was the "environmentalist friend" I posted about, when we went to Utah.) And they're both sweethearts...so go Sugar!

Guess I didn't notice the "butterfly thing". Tramp stamp?

Oh, see that's how one gets in trouble...I mean 'tat on the back'?

It's times like this I wish I lived in Texas. Had to don a winter coat, gloves, scarf, and boots to take the garbage out to the curb. Then later had to run thru the snow w/ slippers on to get my dog to do...what they do. sigh. Gn warm friends...

Actually it's a tummy tat. Strange.

That does suck. If it makes you feel any better, when I went to p/u the girls from work last nite I hadta put on my flip flops cause the ground was too chilly to go barefoot. As far as lettin dogs out, we simply open the door.

That does make me feel MUCH better! Reg. dogs out..that's what normal people do. We've got ourselves in an abnormal situation, which is our own fault. Not taught her the underground fence thing. So I gotta keep an eye on her, and sometimes go get her. It's cute right now, cuz she sinks in the snow every 3 steps or so. So she's tryin to find a great place to go and she's about to go for it, and she sinks in, and the search starts all over. It's funny to watch. She's just at that weight where the snow holds her 75% of the time, but she sinks in the other 25.

I just caught the last 45 min. of W. Rider on Encore. I dunno why that film moves me so, but it sure does. Reg. being in the "family" section, I'm thinkin it's cuz there's nothing overly offensive in it. But I don't think it's for kids. For one, it's slow paced in comparison to a mainstream Hollywood movie, this is more like an indy. It's thoughtful..not in your face. Kids sorta need in your face. Consider that when you tell me what you think of it, based solely on the back of the cover you read.

I was just GEing, and I found the Nat. Bridge Caverns you posted about that one time. I got a street view, from Nat. Bridge Cav. Rd from the east, and I can see the parking lot and the big orange dino! How cool! (just let me know when I cross over into 'creepy'.) Fun stuff.

Define "when".

Actually, WR was contemporary and timely, nothing short of astonishing and enchanting :)

This isn't a "green" movie is it?
Gonna wait till they get back & watch it..probably.

Already got the tree house in it's spot. Wiatn for dig to recharge for pic. It REALLY is cool and the tire actually swings!

You're awesome!

You know, I did notice the full moon on the way home. It was yellow, and actually I called home to tell e1 to take a look (S and kids waited till I got home before cruisin). It's cool when you can see defined shadows from moon lite.

Ok, just saw a Lowes commercial. Their slogan, which i may have already mentioned, "Let's Holiday". Geez!

Their tag line, "great deals on holiday decorations and gifts".
Please!

Linda said...

Speaking of Brinks, I'm SO sick of their commercials. We had it once when we lived in a shifty neighborhood and D was travelin out of town a lot. We set it off just for fun one night to see if it worked. It did. They called.

I'm glad you like it..I hope S will. Gifts like that can be tough, cuz it's sort of a personal taste thing. Don't try the swing..it won't hold you.

Linda said...

Yeah, shadows mean one bright moon. I just took a look..nice.

"Let's Holiday"..that's so gay.

Linda said...

Ha! I looked and you actually did read the back..I thought you were makin that up. I got my copy in a gift bag given by the New Zealand consolate at their party at the Beverly Hills Hotel, Academy Awards weekend. That's right...I'm cool.

RecknHavic said...

The new Zealand consulate...aren't you Miss Big Shot.

Good flick, way better than I expected. Actually touching at the end. You'd like it, Kevin Spacey in it.

gn!

Well I have reason to believe I'm now an orange belt! Hooray! (It's kind of a milestone in the belt biz.) I did really well during my test up until about 6 minutes before it was over. I had to do all these patterns of kicks, punches, dodges, blocks, etc. (first time this was included in my testing) and I just spaced for a sec..had to start over. Not a deal breaker but I was pretty ticked off at myself. It's amazing how you can have stellar concentration for an hour and then for some reason, somethin throws you off and it's gone.

RecknHavic said...

Congratulations.

That musta been a long test if you lost concentration an hour in.

You should go kick somebody's *ss.

Linda said...

It was an hour and 15.

Ha! Yes, I should! Where are you when I need you? I can't beat up my kids.

That reminds me..the other day in class, my teacher was telling me to aim higher w/ my punches and I jokingly explained to him that I'm used to aiming lower, (demonstrated about kids' height.) He laughed and said social services were on their way. :)

Picked up a movie for tnite called "In Bruges". Comedy w/ Colin Farrell and Ralph Fiennes. I know...2 of the funniest people ever? Not who I'd think of when I think of comedy. I saw the trailer once when I was in the theatre and it looked pretty good. I spent a short time in Bruges(pronounced like luge) (Belgium), so I'm really curious to see the setting. It was some picturesque town.

RecknHavic said...

Yeah, that Fiennes is a laugh riot.

Is Belgium a country or a town?

Just kiddin...

Just saw Nicole Kidman in an interview talking about what she's gonna do now that she has a new baby. She explained that she has too much creativity..too many stories to tell. Said she "won't just sit home and twiddle my thumbs".
Thanks, Nicole! Ya know, I wondered why my thumbs have been bothering me lately...must be all that twiddlin I've been doin the last 10 years.

Linda said...

Was that an attempt at pokin fun at me? Cuz if so, it went over my head.

RecknHavic said...

Wow, Bruges is quite pretty. I really like the canal pics. Now I understand.

Took that Kidman thing personal, eh?
And well you should. Liberal elites think that stay-at-home moms (the noblest of jobs, btw) are simply red state palin supporters. And I'll vouch for you, you're no Plain supporter.

Reminder that Survivor finale is tomorrow night. So we'll do picks per usual, plus who wins. I have in my notes from last time, that we gave 10 pts if one of your players wins, 5 pts. if you guess it. That seems sorta opposite to me, doesn't it? Seems like guessin it would be harder, so 10, 5 if it's your player. Whatta you think?

RecknHavic said...

Sittin here watchin It's A Wonderful Life. Hadn't watched it in forever. It's pretty good.

Linda said...

It has a happy ending. Doh! Spoiler alert!

Linda said...

That's weird. I thought that city was spelled differently than what I thought, and it is different on that postcard. Hmmm. I wonder if one is the American spelling. Still, why would you do that?

RecknHavic said...

Do what?

Right. I'll hafta get S's pics as she won't be back in time for start.

I like vodka martini's btw...you know...after i win :)

Anonymous said...

Not YOU. Why would they, one, people...change the spelling of a foreign city.."American spelling" of a place.

Will you be delayed in watching it then?

I make an excellent martini. Ok, that's a lie..never made one in my life.
