The Other Stuff

The last of the museum pics.....

This an old diner. The guy behind the counter said people thought they were going extinct, so they grabbed this one for the museum. We still have diners.

This is the bus on which Rosa Parks wouldn't move to the back.

She was sitting right where Tony is, and when a white person came up to her, she moved over to the window where Ben is, instead of moving back.

This is the view from the back. Actually I thought it was quite comfortable...I don't see what the big deal was.
I'm KIDDING, I'm kidding...relax.

The chair in which President Lincoln was assassinated at Ford Theater.

Thanks!

Kinda some depressin stuff in that museum.

I'm kiddn. Altho, when ever I do ride the bus I actually prefer the back.

The diner's cool.

The diner was cool. The guy behind the counter was a hoot, too.

What fun are you having today?

Diner's are nice, old fashiony stuff; right up my alley.

Grilln some trout and talapia. Gonna try a cedar plank on part of it as the cedar paper is quite pricy.

What's up w/ yall?

Wow, I just realized that the tile floor and the tile on the sides under the bar seats in that diner, are exactly the same tiles that were in my parents' bathroom where I grew up.

That made it sound like I grew up in the bathroom.

We're going to a bar/restaurant later to watch my friend play. I've skipped his last 2 or 3 gigs, and I can't keep doing it or he'll be disappointed. I'm just not a loud live band in a bar kinda person. He made fun of me for leaving after the first set the first time I went. Ugh. I'd rather stay home and make my dip for tomorrow.

When you sit in back you can keep your eye on people.

Oh yes. Try the cedar plank. (insert rolling eyes smiley.) ;)

Alright, since you like old fashiony stuff and it's your birthday, I'll post my laundry room. Dontcha like how I can make YOUR birthday all about me? Me too.

You're like Tatiana from Amer Idol.

Hopefully it'll go better than your last outing :)

Just ordered a movie for me (speakin a makin it about oneself) for my b-day. it's called Media Malpractice. I'll let you know how it is (but I won't spoil the endin for ya).

Well, the early verdict is..go w/ the cedar paper as opposed to the plank. Planks kinda like usin foil, doesn't cook out enough a the fishiness taste. Still ok, but...

Can't say I've heard of that movie. Musta got it from Redbox.

Ok, new post....

Oh gosh, I googled the movie. I get the joke about the ending now. You rented THAT the night before the Oscars? Tsk tsk...

Enjoy the flick, I'm off to rock out. I'll check in when we get home.

Thank you for posting the picture. We can't recall ever seeing a Worcester Lunch Car Company diner with pink tile. It was built in 1946 and previously in Marlboro, Massachusetts.
