Where's George?

Have you ever come across a bill like this? You go to the website http://www.wheresgeorge.com/ , enter the serial number, the series of the bill, and your zip code, and it tracks where the bill has been. This particular one dollar bill has travelled 98 miles in 87 days, 20 hrs., and 17 minutes. With an average travel time of 1.1 miles per day.
No, there's no significance to the army man. He was just in the area, so I put him in.

You definitely have too much time on your hands.

Linda said...

Lol...shut up. Be nice.

Nestor said...

I've gotten a few, but only actually entered it into the website once. Besides here it was also somewhere in GA and NC. I thought it was funny because it was shortly after I had been to NC, but I didn't get it on the trip.

Linda said...

That IS weird.
Actually, I was thinkin about sending this bill to Reck, have him log it in and then spend it somewhere and see if it gets tracked. I'm thinkin he'd do it, cuz..well..it's a free buck.

Nestor said...

OK my last comment went somewhere into the depths of the internet.

We could start a new site called Where's Ben? You could log in a $100 bill, send it to me and then I'd log it in and spend it. I'm just sayin'.

RecknHavic said...

I like Nest's idea :)

Nestor said...

I considered cheating the system, but held back. I clicked the button that said that I don't have it in my possession and it said that if you don't have the bill anymore, you can screw up the results. Like it's some kind of science experiment or something.

Linda said...

Don't mess it up Nestor! This is important stuff. I think I'll pass on your Ben idea.

RecknHavic said...

Sounds like a good way to spread a cold around to me.

A cold which, btw, I officially have right now.

Yes, started the zinc this mornin. AND, it's the hard stuff, the lozenges.

Linda said...

Fine, if you don't wanna do it, I'll send it elsewhere, party pooper.

You're a mess..first your back, now a cold. (Reeeally strange..after I read that comment, I sneezed 3 times.)

GB was on and B goes, "Glenn looks like he's gonna cry again." Ha!

Who's watchin Obama tonight?

RecknHavic said...

Probably watch it, unless I don't.

Now to more important things...when are we gonna do the draft? How bout wed after Lost?

Linda said...

Actually, if we could do it sooner than that, that would be better here. (D often doesn't make it past 10:00.)

I think this press conference is supposed to promote hope, but man is it depressing.

RecknHavic said...

How bout tomorrow evenin then? Or, weds durin Lost (since we all can DVR it)? No time between church & start a show weds.

You make the call.

Linda said...

I guess it'll have to be tomorrow night as he won't be home Wed or Thurs. night. Any time is fine. Aw man, I can't print up the bios for my binder cuz the computer's sick! bummer.

RecknHavic said...

just do like I do & get it all from those spoiler sites ;)

let us know what time (roughly) it'll be.

I don't feel so good & i'm hittn it. You'll hafta fill me in on "the press conf" manana.

later.

Linda said...

K, let's say 8 our time 7 yours? Too close to dinner?

Hope you feel better, zinc boy.

Nestor said...

I caught bits'n'pieces of the press conference tonight. Savage had it on and was doing commentary during it. Then he came up with a new term, Neo-Marxist. Let's see if Levin uses it and claims that he came up with it. I really don't know what the beef is between those two.

I gotta be at a job site at 1pm today so 7pm (if you include gettn cleaned up AND eatn dinner) could be tough. Let's sat 7:30 our time, 8:30 yours.

Oh, if D's agreeable I thought he & I would spot you & S 5 or 10 pts :)

Linda said...

That's fine, and if you're later than that, no worries. I'll just check in here starting then. We'll hook up eventually.

Looks like we're gonna set a record high here today. :)

RecknHavic said...

Actually, now they've asked me to come to the site at 9am my time. Problem is I've gotta good 4+ hrs a work and they're only givin me till noon. That means I gotta make another trip to finish this thing the next day; what a pain. I shoild hit w/ a trip charge.

8pm your time shouldn't be a problem.

Linda said...

Sooo..what else are we picking? 1st voted off we can do, but as far as tribes and immunity, we'd have to wait till they're picked during the first episode. Not sure if you're able to do that on Thursday or not. (Pause it and pick). It seems like I remember the scenes for the first episode included Probst implying that someone goes home right off the bat. I'll see if I hear anything else about that.

Oh, who picks first? You guys pick outta a hat this time. I did it last time. That way if I don't like the results I can blame you.

RecknHavic said...

I just read somethin at CBS about two people gettn axed right at the getgo (based on first impressions). We'll hafta play it by ear I guess.

Got the four I want (tho this is the hardest one for me so far) no clear cut leaders/winners out there, imo.

I'll do the drawin when S gets here.

Linda said...

It seems like there's not a lot to distinguish them from one another.

We could pick 1st and 2nd out, then if there's only one, it's no biggie, but our bases are covered.

I bet I know who you want. But I can't say.

RecknHavic said...

You decide.

Here's the draft order:
S
D
R
L

Sucks to be you.

Linda said...

Cheater.

Happy Bday Glenn!!!

Linda said...

My friendly neighborhood girl scouts delivered their cookies today. I'm a little concerned about the salmonella in the peanut butter, but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go ahead and risk my life for Tagalongs.

RecknHavic said...

I'd stay away from the ol peanut butter myself. Then again, I'm a paranoid freak.

Actually, the first drawin came up s then me; so i said "we're redrawin". Those were the results.

Should be an interestn season. S been doin her homework on it mosta the day. Me, I'm goin w/ the hair color thing.

Linda said...

Meh...what are the odds it'll actually kill me.

D found paint splattered on the table and I just remembered how it probably got there. I was hammering the lid back on the paint can, and apparently there was paint puddled in that space on top of the can. (You know where I'm goin w/ this, right?) All over my face...and I guess the table behind me.

I've decided there's not much point to research. The age and profession is worth noting, however.

RecknHavic said...

I'm interested in seein the finished product.

So who's your first pic?

Linda said...

I'm not tellin YOU! sheesh...

I've got a few finishing touches yet and I'll post the after pics. Got some things comin in the mail.

Linda said...

To celebrate our spring-like weather, we grilled burgers and zucchini, had pasta salad and corn.
Kids played outside till it got dark. Ahhhh....

RecknHavic said...

S about to list her first pic...

RecknHavic said...

S starts w/ Joe Dowdle

D's up...

Linda said...

D's takin Spencer.

RecknHavic said...

Reck pics Brendan

RecknHavic said...

tick tock...

Linda said...

I'll take Benjamin and Jerry.
HA! Ben & Jerry!

RecknHavic said...

That's funny! Dand, really wanted Jerry.

Ok, I'll go w/ Sydney...

...anywhere she'd like.

Linda said...

Carolina for Dave

RecknHavic said...

For S..JT & Debra

Linda said...

D takes Stephen the corporate consultant.

Linda said...

You fall asleep?

RecknHavic said...

R pics Sierra

Linda said...

Dang it.
Little greedy w/ the blond models, aren't ya? K, I gotta think now.

Linda said...

I'll take Tyson and Erinn.

RecknHavic said...

Just to be consistent...Candace.

Linda said...

Geez, with any luck you'll get a jello challenge.

D takes Sandy.

RecknHavic said...

Good job e1. How do yall feel about your 4?

I'm goin w/ the good looks, shallow personality strategy.

Anyone for repickin?

Linda said...

Kinda ok. I think I've got some personalities for sure. Not sure how long they'll make it, but they'll make it interesting for me to watch.
Kinda like your picks for you!

Linda said...

I think we all have a variety. Should be good. I ended up w/ 2 older and 2 younger which might be a good thing, too. Oh who knows. All I know is I'm always happy w/ Ben and Jerry.

RecknHavic said...

Yep, the Ben & Jerry thing's funny. Hard to say who did well on this one.

Just spent the last half hour "revising & editing" some essays for my daughter. Her teacher gave us parents some homework apparently.
I missed the ol spell ck, that's for sure.

Hittin it..darn cold.

Linda said...

Hey I ran across a red box! Though it wasn't exactly a "Red Box", it was a red box and it did rent out movies. It was called DVDplay. You go to www.dvdplay.com for details, but it sounds exactly the same as rb. You guys don't have any...I did a search in your area and there's none. I may try it. Soon.

Linda said...

I've been eyeing Spamalot tickets this week...it's here through the weekend. Think it's too pricey, tho. I'd also like to see Fiddler on the Roof comin in March...with Topol! I know, Topol! I guess it's the last tour he's doing. (Yeah right, Cher.) I didn't even know he was still fantasizing about bein a rich man. "All day long I'd biddy biddy bum...if I were a rich man's son!"

RecknHavic said...

Fiffler on a Roof is good I'm sure. Re: Python, well, you know my thoughts there.

Topol..I've no idea what you're talkn about here.

Goin to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang here in a couple a weeks.

RecknHavic said...

Thankfully customer canceled on me today. Feelin the full brunt a this cold right now.

Course now, thurs & fri gonna be jam packed, but what the hey.

Lookin forward to more confusion on Lost tonite.

Linda said...

Yes, Fiffler on the Roof is good, but FiDDler on the Roof is even better! Topol is the actor who played the main guy in the movie. He's great. Don't ask me why he shares the name with a smoker's toothpaste.

Wow, you guys really like going to the theater, eh? We do, too. Too bad they charge so much, tho.

I know..I gotta gear up for Lost.

RecknHavic said...

No..no...Fiffler is much better! It's the one where all the actors have speech impediments.. Very entertainin.

Ok, I AM a pig.

Linda said...

You'd better hope that there's no speech impediment problems at Chitty Chitty Bang Bang...

RecknHavic said...

Ha! For sure.

Ok, I'm wantin a cig pretty bad right now.

Linda said...

Have a Hav-A-Tampa.

RecknHavic said...

Hmm..type a cigar?

Actually, the cravin passed. BUT, I feel (besides the cold) strangely strange. Almost like I'm havin tunnel vision; it's weird.

RecknHavic said...

Forgot to mention we had us a good thunderstorm last nite. Biggest hail I've seen in awhile too. Couple a near golf ball size pieces; most marble sized.

Linda said...

Yes, small, thin, cig like. I took a shot.

RecknHavic said...

Oh..

Swisher Sweets, but I threw em away.

Comin up to a crossroads I'm thinkin. Startin to fill not so bad cold wise (yeah zinc!), course it could just be the "feel better durin the day" when you're sick thing.
Reeeaalllyyy startn to want a smoke. That's why I threw out the mini cigars, I'da inhaled; I know me.

Prayin...prayin..

Linda said...

Good. You don't need those. Geez, slap on a patch already, you're makin ME jumpy.

Linda said...

I've inhaled a cigar. I've also swallowed chew. What? I was young and stupid once!

RecknHavic said...

Seems like that would just prolong the inevitable w/draws. I am definitely Jonesin tho. If it gets to be too much I'll take a drag or two off a cig. So far tho, smoke free since this mornin (and that hardly counted as i couldn't really inhale cause a coughin).

Did try & lite up a zinc lozenge w/out any luck.

Just hopin there's no smoke monster tonite on lost.

Linda said...

I see it this way..if you wear the patch, yeah you're puttin off the withdrawl. BUT, by the time you stop wearing it, you won't be in the physical habit of having one w/ coffee, in the car, after a meal, etc. You won't be dyin to do that physical thing.

THEN, you wean yourself off the patch. Wear it 16 hours the first couple weeks, 12 the next couple, 6 the next, etc. I would think the success rate would be better this way. And far less painful.

RecknHavic said...

You ain't from Texas are ya?

Actually, the quit while ya gotta cold method seems to be workin so far. Eatn everything in sight, but not lightin up.

RecknHavic said...

How long you been smoke free now? Are you still takin the Chantix?

Linda said...

Yes, I'm from Texas. But when I was little, this man told me to leave and never come back. He told me if I went back to Texas..I'd...die. I think that man was you, btw.

Why did you say that anyway? Can't figure it.

Linda said...

33 days w/ one major slip up.
Yes, but I forget to take it occasionally, so not full time.

RecknHavic said...

It was me.

What I meant was..let me put it this way...if ya get shot and you're from Texas, ya don't want a painkiller before they take the bullet out..ya just want a stick to bite on.

Sooo...do you suppose that Jack's dad is Jacob?
And why, now that she's met him in the past, didn't the French chic remember Jin a couple a seasons ago?

Btw, don't sweat a slip up. I found a cig in on the way to p/u Dev and enjoyed half a smoke bout 20 mins ago. Really needed it tho, was fellin very strange.

Stan Rosenthal said...

Hell, I just smoke. I mean, we're all gonna die anyway.

Linda said...

I've been thinking the same thing about Rousseau. I can't really remember if she met Jin in real time, tho. I've no idea about Jacob. I don't even get what he means to it all. What am I saying..no one does. I keep forgetting that. Did you get that email I sent you with the Lost re-cap?

Nestor said...

Good luck on the quitting guys. Weren't there problems with Chantix? In my semi-professional opinion, I'd never take a medication that hasn't been on the market for at least ten years unless I was dying and nothing else worked. That's just me, but I know how they do most of the clincal trials, and unless you're a male 18-35 with no other medical conditions and not taking any other medications, those trials aren't usually representative of how effective the medication is, or how severe the possible side-effects will be. But if it works for you that's wonderful!

Nestor said...

Oh, one other thing. Check out www.nostimulus.com and sign the petition. It will go to congress by 2 PM tomorrow. (I believe) So if you can take the two minutes to sign the petition, they can bump up the number of names on the petition.

Linda said...

I waited a little while..long enough to have other people try it before me and for my doc to get feedback about it. It's caused some pretty serious problems for some people.

RecknHavic said...

I'm stickin w/ the common cold quitin method. the only side effect is..well...the cold part.

OK, S couldn't recall the site but here are the tribes:
Jalapo:
Caroline, Joe, JT, Sandy, Spencer, Stephen, Sydney & Taj

Tumbira:
Ben, Brendan, Candace, Bebra, Erin, Jerry, Sierra & Tyson

Linda said...

Hm. That's interesting. All my peeps are on Tumbira, all D's are on Jalapeno. I guess it doesn't make any difference. Heck, was it last season that that one tribe kept winning? I'll just have to root (rhymes w/ boot) for Tumbira. Course if they lose a lot I'm royally screwed. I'll send ya pics when D gets home. Right now I'm thinkin Sydney and Sierra...can't remember who has those gals.

Nestor said...

Linda do root and boot also rhyme with about, and out? ;)

Linda said...

Of course not, silly. That would be ridiculous... without a doubt.

RecknHavic said...

Ok, here's our pics to get the booot first..

R-
Jal: Sandy
Tum: Debra

S-
Jal: Sandy
Tum: Candace

S just informed me it's Timbira NOT Tumbira.

Anything else we need to pic?

Linda said...

I haven't read your pics yet, but here are ours:
D- Jalapo- Taj,
Timbira- Sierra,
(just in case)- Sydney

L- Jalapo- Taj
Timbira- Debra,
(just in case)- Erinn

K, now I'll read em.
Yes, pick one more out just in case they do an immunity. If anything funky happens pause and gimme a call.

Linda said...

Ugh..I'm all frazzled. Don't have my binder of printed out survivors as I don't have a printer! I won't make it all season this way..somethin's gotta give!

And to boooot, I can't find Redhots ANYWHERE! CVS sold out w/in the first week according to CVS man. So I went to Target and they had everything but. Where are all the redhots? I love those.

RecknHavic said...

Ok...

Just in case..

R- Jal rew
Tim imm
Taj voted out

S- Tim rew
Jal imm
Sierra voted out

gl

Linda said...

Ok, gotta change my "in case" person now, so scratch Erinn.

D- Jal rew, Tim imm, Sydney out
L- Tim rew, Tim imm, Debra out

Linda said...

Got it.

Yeah, whatever. You too I guess.

Linda said...

Ummm...Havics? In case you check in here, since those 2 didn't leave, are we going with our last pics?

RecknHavic said...

You'll hafta make the call. But, even tho it wasn't a vote out, I'd still award the points for pickin who each tribe picked.
That and award points for pickin tribe imm & who got voted out (Caroline).

RecknHavic said...

Wow, you're puttin alotta thought into this scorin dealio; glad I'm not the "gm master" :)

Linda said...

Well luckily no one got who got voted out anyway. I was using what we used for rew, imm and out.
R- 7
S- 4
D- 6
L- 7
(3 for timbira gettin imm and point per player.)

Linda said...

You have no idea. I don't mind, tho. I have a purpose. People look to me for answers. Sure, the question is usually "how many points do I have in the Survivor fantasy game?"...but still. I have answers.

Linda said...

Oh I see what you're saying...I flew right over the beginning of that comment. Yeah, ok. I could do that. How many points do you, Summer and Dave want? 20 good? ;)

RecknHavic said...

Ha, 20's good!

Ok, sounds fair. I'm in comfortable territory, ya know, out front.

Thought Sandy was a goner for sure. She ever figures out whata palm tree looks like and whata pace is and she could be downright dangerous.

RecknHavic said...

L-

"People look to me for answers. Sure, the question is usually "how many points do I have in the Survivor fantasy game?"...but still. I have answers."

Don't be so hard on yourself. besides, if I ever take up crochetn or knittn or whatever it is; any questions i have are comin straight to you :)

Linda said...

"Thought Sandy was a goner for sure. She ever figures out whata palm tree looks like and whata pace is and she could be downright dangerous."

LMAO!!

Linda said...

And what was w/ the naked Mormon?
Bizarre.

I just noticed D has Carolina AND Sandy. There's some good pickin!

Have you been to your blog?
Did you know I keep responding to you at Stan's?

RecknHavic said...

No & yes.

I'll go; I'll respond.

Naked mormons is weird. and I know which mormon gettn naked you were pulln for.

RecknHavic said...

Feelin cr*ppy again.

gn

Linda said...

Aww...gn. Feel better for heaven's sake.

Linda said...

So the snow's melted on the lawn and it's really nice cuz it feels all Spring-like. One minor thing...you can see where we burned the lawn with the snowblower blowin Rox her path. Doh! Hadn't thought of that. That'll grow, right? Grow, mow..grow, mow...Should be fine by end of July.

Linda said...

I've got a question for mi Texas amigos...I'm in the grocery store the other day, and I see a green, round, wrinkly, dried up lookin..veggie. Sign says "tomatillos". wth?
Figured one of you would know seein that it rhymes with armadillo.

RecknHavic said...

Ahhh...el tomatillo.

This is a hybrid "meat" veggie. It's a cross between a "tom" turkey & an armadillo. Or...it's some kinda mexi-veggie. Either way, it tastes just like chicken.

Linda said...

Ew, gross. (Actually I'm thinkin it's a fruit as it probably at one time had seeds.) Thought for sure you'd have a recipe.

RecknHavic said...

Maybe it had seeds before it "evolved".

Linda said...

Oh my gosh, The Song Remains the Same is on VH1 Classic! I think I mentioned once that I saw this at a smoke filled midnight movie. Ahhh...Zeppelin.. how I love them.
I'm guessin my dad didn't know about this as I have no idea how I pulled that off with a midnight curfew.

Linda said...

Jinx.

RecknHavic said...

Far out man!

Well, feelin better finally. Thank you zinc.

Unfortunately S has it now, oldest & youngest startn to show signs a it. Finally convinced S to use ziacam; she'll thank me in a few days. Gonna start the girls on it tonite.

I've NEVER eatn so much w/ a cold as this one. If I gain abunch a freakn weight I may start smokin again. Oh yes, i consider myself quit.Lit 3 today but taken (maybe) two half drags. Seriously jonesin still. Hello snack cakes!

Linda said...

Aw shoot..way to spread your sickness. Don't they know how far away from you they have to stay?

I can taste that zinc every time you mention it. blech. I take a chewable vitamin (yes, I'm 6), that tastes similar.

Ok I have to know what you did w/ that 3rd lit smoke if you had 2 drags and lit 3 cigs. Light it and put it out? Why do have them w/in reach? Throw em out!

Linda said...

I don't know how you're gonna do it white knuckling it. You need to reprogram yourself cuz right now you think you'll miss them and you're giving up something.

There's a book by Alan Carr called, The EasyWay to Quit Smoking. If you could get your hands on it I think it would be really beneficial. It explains how now you're brainwashed into thinking you're giving up something important in your life and the benefits it gives you. It sort of attemps to reverse the brainwashing (you're familiar with that, right? ;)). Anyway, it's good. Check your local library..or Amazon.

RecknHavic said...

I'll look into it.

Actually, prayer has helped me lot so far.

Go figure.

RecknHavic said...

Oh, the snack cakes have helped too.

Linda said...

Actually I think it's helped me a lot so far, too. But I won't admit to it. And even if I did, I'd still contend it's because it's because of the process and not that anything's actually being answered.

RecknHavic said...

Fair enough.

Linda said...

gn! Hope the family feels better tomorrow!

Nestor said...

Linda,

Say toe-ma-TEE-yo. It is a fruit and it tastes sweet. (I think, I've never actually had one) Carmen likes them. I just have this thing where I don't eat green tomatoes, and it looks too much like a green tomato to me. I think I'm traumatized by that movie 'Fried Green Tomatoes'.

Nestor said...

I may be in and out for a while. My mother in law is in town, and it's our anniversary this weekend. So if I'm out of the net...my bad.

Linda said...

Like I said...it rhymes with ar-ma-DEE-yo.
What...you guys don't say it like that?
Have a good weekend, Nes!

Linda said...

Alright, we're snow blowin again.

RecknHavic said...

We're blown noses round here. 4 of us down w/ cold.

Colds suck...
..thank goodness for zinc.

Zinc, the cure for the common cold!

Linda said...

You and your zinc. There's no cure for the common cold..but if it makes you feel better to think it's helping then by all means, take your zinc. :)

Sorry to hear about the Havic 4. Who's the lucky one?

RecknHavic said...

In two double-blind placebo controlled studies conducted at major clinics in the USA, zinc has been shown to reduce the symptoms of the common cold by 42%. Both studies were published in peer reviewed medical journals.

Ya know.. if ya believe all that "science" stuff.

Linda said...

Double-blind study, eh? Yeah, that sounds reeeeally reliable. Besides, reducing symptoms isn't the same thing as "curing". :)

Oh I'm just being a pill. Take your zinc. Stand by it, dang it.

Linda said...

Oh man...you guys have sonic booms and satelite debris in the sky! Lu-cky!

Linda said...

Just got my bum kicked in Hearts on the computer. First time I've played it..pretty fun. Took awhile to reverse my instinct to take tricks.

RecknHavic said...

Yeah, those durn satellites.

Computer hearts, sounds..exciting.

Nestor said...

Yeah, apparently it came down during the Austin Marathon. I wonder if they've already collected the stuff and cleaned up all of the 'classified' info in the satellite, if there was any.

Linda said...

I heard somewhere that debris could be fallin for tens of thousands of years. Heads up, fellas!

Linda said...

R> Computer hearts, sounds..exciting.

Get a load a Mr. Excitement.
