Oh my gosh...our week forcast is in the 40s and 50s! Exciting! Problem is we have a bet going between my parents, D's, the kids and us, about when the mound of snow up front, piled up from the plow will be totally melted. I have April 15th. That might be too late. It's about 5 ft. tall right now.
I was just on Amazon.com and in their recommendations for me, was a C.S. Lewis book and the DVD "Expelled". I had to check to make sure I didn't log on as Reck. sheesh. Of course they also recommended the DVD collection of the 1930's Popeye the Sailor series, so....maybe you should look into that, J. It must be right up your alley!
No, there's not snow on the ground that late, but the bet was when the LAST bit of snow is gone on the island in the cul de sac where the plow pushes it. There's no snow on the ground now, but it takes time for that mound to melt. Plus, it has to be the LAST melt..and yes, we've been known to get snow in March. I wanted April 1, but it was taken. Like I said, my date's too late.

Aw...dang Memphis! Speaking of Tenn, my friends and I are wanting to plan another Utah type trip, and we're thinkin down Nashville way. My original thought was to do only National Parks, but that may not work out. Actually, I gotta do some research. The girl I put in charge has a new beau, and somehow I don't think MY travel plans are high on here priority list!
Gatlinburg's lookin really good. Has Smokey Mtn. Nat'l Park and lotsa other cool stuff to do. For some reason, I'm not that interested in Nashville. I want outdoorsy stuff, not city stuff. The scenery out Gatlinburg way looks really pretty. And we can hike with giant water bags on our backs, which was very fun.
That's not too far from where my parents live. It's a beautiful part of the country. I think there's also Dollywood not to far if you get tired of hiking.
