Well I haven't seen it yet cuz I'm watchin the game, but I will in a bit. D's out watchin it w/ friends. I like watchin it after the boys are tucked in anyway..and no adverts! Hmmm...I wonder when you can get in on CBS.com.
So the Lions get Matt Stafford and pay him $41 million guaranteed. This insanity in the NFL needs to stop. If I was faced with pay an unproven athlete that much money, I'd trade the pick and use the cost savings on someone else. Get 2-3 players for that money, and at least 1-2 that have proven themselves.

Didja hear anything last night? It seems like the talking heads aren't really feeling it. Maybe he'll be alright, but I don't know. On the bright side, I feel pretty good about the Giants' picks. Not ecstatic, but pretty good. But I guess if the Lions win a few next year, it'll be better. Maybe this year they'll show significant improvement. I hope so for you guys.
I think the general consensus was that the guys they drafted are fine, but we have needs in other areas that are more dire. Like a lot of people were bemoaning about getting a tight end, when we really need help with defense. That type of thing. Oh and getting a guy from the MAC (Western MI of all places...go Broncos!) really irked D.
Well it sounds like they were trying to get the 'best' in a position...sort of regardless of what that position is, if you know what I mean. And this WMU guy played for a smaller school, so there's some gripin about that, tho he's supposed to be the best safety.
All I know is that the draft itself is painful to watch and/or listen to. I thought about impaling myself just to check to see if my synapses were still firing.

Well I didn't sit there with a bowl of popcorn, but D had it on tv., and when in the car, on the radio. At the party, their satellite reception was out (we got nailed w/ thunderstorms last night), so they had it on the computer. Guess they're a freaky lot.
Made it back just in time for the Rockets tip-off. What a gm! We pulled it out by 1. First gm 4 win in a series since Dream was playn.

Hope yall all hada good weekend. We survived driven through flood waters fri nite, as we arrived late after a stop over at me grandmas. Haven't seen rain like that in a loooong time. Had a few touch & go moments.

Looks like there's some serious rain headed yalls way later this mornin Nest. We had an 80% chance last nite and early this mornin; which means it'll rain north of us.
Rush pointed this out. Obama goes to Mexico City and then there's this outbreak of Swine Flu and a 6.0 earthquake. Does the podium there still smell like brimstone?
That's so funny. I just sent a friend an email saying that Obama brought back the Swine flu to distract us from all the gov't spending! Of course I was kidding...not sure about Rush.

So far as I know, we haven't had any swine flu patients at our hospital. We HAVE had a rash of rattlesnake bite though.
