Dang Dentist

Here's a new one. The boys had dentist appointments today, and it appears Ben has some issues.

a.) He lost 3 teeth on the bottom and only 2 have come back. Thing is..they can't find the other one in x-rays. The dentist thinks it's highly probable it just doesn't exist. So..we have to go to a fancy dancy dentist with a super duper x-ray machine...one that takes the entire mouth at one time and not just sections, to see if the missing incisor can be located.

b.) His tonsils are ginormous. This was no shock to me, as people have been telling me this for years. (Yes...people.) Where the problem lies is that those killer tonsils are positioning his tongue in such a way that his palate is not forming properly..hence his teeth will come in badly and even if they're corrected with braces or whatever...they'll go back. So...have a referral to an ear/nose/throat guy who quite possibly will tell me to have those bad boys yanked. June woulda been a better time for this news really.

Ummm...already told him. He's lookin forward to the neverending Arctic Rushes from DQ...he might actually be disappointed if they don't come out.

It's too bad that if it does happen he'll have to miss school. I'm sure he'll be SO disappointed to have to stay home.

But it is a big time bummer. Hopefully you just saw a quack dentist who doesn't know what he's talking about.

What a great start to the day! 61 degrees..feels awesome. (It's been a bit hot here lately.) Toppin out at 68...nice change.

No, really...weather is meant to change...it's true.

Well, we set a record today..102..yeah, that's right..a RECORD.

I thought back in June when it was 100 for a week straight that it was just a short term heat wave. Not so much. What are we on, 65 100 degree days this year?

RecknHavic said...

Somethin like that. Tho I think we may be fixin to turn the corner and hit more seasonally temps.

Ohhh...who am I kiddn; it's hot & it's gonna stay hot!

Sounds like you guys live in Texas, or somethin.

RecknHavic said...

Yes we do.

On a side note: it rained last nite...it was weird.

Hey rain! Congratulations! Cool front here..toppin out at 70 today and in the 60s over the weekend. Gonna go get school supplies today...hooray!!! I mean, awwww.

Tooth update: Ben had the xray and he does indeed have a permanent tooth in there somewhere. Gosh knows where it's gonna go, cuz there's no room for it. This oughtta be interesting.....

Frost advisories in the new Englad states...40s in upper Minnesota...

Just nuts!

We definitely got rain last night. It was pouring here last night. Is this the El Nino Reck? I've heard we might have a rainy fall. It would be great if we did.

RecknHavic said...

I'm thinkn it's the beginnin of El Nino's effect on us. El Nino formed several months back and should shift more of these hangin highs away from us. When you start to see these low systems moving sorta north to south (as the last few have) down the center of the state (as oppossed to the ones that cross east west to east across the panhandle, its a good sign.

Hello Idaho...

Move to Oklahoma..I hear really good things about Oklahoma.

It was actually pretty comfortable yesterday. I don't know what the high was, but it wasn't miserable and about 7, when I went to Barnes & Noble to study, it was comfortable. By Texas standards anyway.

Today's been awesome, don't think it's gotten over 90 yet; tho the suns now out (over cast mosta the day) and it feels like it's heatn up alittle. But still, very nice today.

Another pretty nice day. It's been so hot for so long that 90 feels great. But in the morning and evening, its actually pretty nice...upper 60's to low 70's.

RecknHavic said...

We haven't seen upper 60s at nite here yet, heck we really haven't seen lower 70s yet either; maybe this week tho.

Nestor said...

I don't know why it posted as Carmen, oh well. But we hit that last night. It doesn't feel quite that cool tonight though. Probably mid 70's.

Toppin out here in the low 70s. Dang cold in the morning with the windows open. You guys need to move up here.... you'd get chilly and we could hang out. A win/win..meaning one win for y'all and one win for ME!

I'm thinkin...Officer and a Gentlman.

Daunte Culpepper "stubs his toe" on a carpet? Requiring stitches? This could only happen to the Lions. I'm sorry.
