16 1/2

Not to compare fishing days with you, Reck, but I think ours is bigger. ;) Tony caught him this morning..he's in our fridge now. I looked really closely, but I don't think this is the bass with your name on it that's out there somewhere.

Harharharhar!!

Well I should hope so..not sure how they could be smaller.

har har yourself.

Actually, i've seen smaller.

Any smaller and you couldn't even call it a fish. It would just be something that's "fish like" in nature.

The one armed fisherman walks into the sporting goods shop, and picks up a rod and reel, and sticks it under his arm as starts emulating casting. Salesman walks up to him and ask, can you really fish with only one arm???? One armed fisherman response, but of course!!!! Just yesterday I caught one THIS (holds out his one hand (in relationship to his other non-existent hand)) big!

It's the 25th anniversary of the Houston Gamblers (USFL), certainly one of the finest football teams to ever grace the city of Houston.

Here's a site dedicated to the Gamblers -

I'm guessing because there was never a Michigan USFL franchise?

My good friend (LOL!) Reck -

Dud, if you don't know where you've been, you'll never know where you're going.

Have you heard of Jim Kelly of the Buffalo Bills?

This is an incredible old album, titled The American Metephysical Circus by Joe Byrd and the Field Hippies. You'll need a program with the ability to download torrents (like say, Bittorrent), but it's worth the effort -

Trivia question for you Stan: who coached the Houston Gamblers?

Hint: not the only Houston team he ever would coach.

S>"Have you heard of Jim Kelly of the Buffalo Bills?"

That would be a negatory, Mr. R.

New post comin soon! Had a great 5th grade graduation today! My kid rocks!

Jack Pardee. He also coached the Oilers, and I think a WFL team? Or am I thinking he also coached the Cougars?

He went to 4 Superbowls, unfortunately, the Bills lost in all of those attempts. Which is the only reason possible you haven't heard of him. Anyhow, he got is pro start with the Gamblers.

You are correct on all accounts except the WFL Stan. And yes, he did coach the Coogs bringin the run & shoot to the region. Also had a great defense coached by Jim Eddy (who followed him to the Oilers).

Wikipedia says this -
> John Perry Pardee (born April 19, 1936 in Exira, Iowa) is a former American football linebacker and the only head coach to join a team in the National Football League, NCAA Southwest Conference, United States Football League, World Football League and Canadian Football League. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1986.

It goes on to say that he coached the Washington Ambassadors in the WFL.

Here's a about 10 minute interview with Jim Kelly, 'Mouse' Davis (Offensive Co-ordinator) and Jack Pardee from the recent reunion, very interesting! -

Linda the other reason that I forgot about, is that he was in the AFC, and Detroit is a NFC town. If Detroit was in the AFC, you would've known about Jim Kelly.
