No school tomorrow! Hard to tell how much snow we've had as it's just blowin all over.
Tone got his cast off today, just long enough to wash his arm and say good-bye before he got re-casted. (He really did..I think his exact words were "good-bye arm...I love you." LOL) Anyway, he went with glow in the dark this time...it's not healed yet.
On the upside, I left my water bottle there 3 weeks ago..I called right away to ask them to look for it. When I got there today, they said they didn't have it..(it HAS been 3 weeks), but then they checked the kitchen and lo and behold, there it was!!Bonus! It's my fav and I can't find that exact one anywhere.
You're just trying to make us jealous of your weather. ;-) If you really want to make us suffer, you'd tell us that you got mountains with ski lifts on them. (-:
I wish, honey!!
Yes, we are envious down here, altho it IS pretty cold here. That and rolling blackouts, which bite.
Too bad he had to be re-casted; but glow in the dark....COOL!
May get some snow manana...
Indeed, the forecast 4 snow here in Houston has been upgraded from Friday to Thursday thru Friday. And we had rolling blackouts here (well, at work and I've heard from a friend that he got them at work and at home, but at my home I did not get them) today as well.
Reck, I'm impressed with your reporting, in this instance.
BTW: No snow here yet. It looks like it's wet on the ground, so if we do get any, it won't stick. This is the typical of snow predictions in Houston, we usually don't get it, even when predicted.
We did get a ice storm, though. But that's even more usual than snow here, so, no big deal.
Our official snowfall ttl was 4/10 of an inch. So it was basically a heavy dusting, which was nice. We did have ice problems too, like H-town, and most highways were closed.
For a much better (funnier) view of Houston weather go to:

It was too easy (and not all that funny, but some things ring true, like the MSM's suggestion to wrap your pipes.) I'll call it amusing, at best.
BTW and FYI: From my understanding, Michael Berry is a local Realtor here, who I'm guessing got his right-wing radio show here because he's a local Realtor.
Ha! I enjoyed it.
We got about 4 more inches today! Sooo pretty! I'm actually getting into shoveling...especially at night. It's peaceful. :)
Ooh, Linda, my shovel baby!!!!
Houstonians have dreams about girls like U. :-)
Lol..ok, why do I feel like I just walked into the Urban Dictionary?
I actually dream of shoveling snow...
ok, trivia time (and no googling)...
What team has won the most Super Bowls?
Bonus question:
What team has played in the most Super Bowls?
Havic, I can make your dreams come true. I'll even supply the shovel.
Hmm...most superbowls..I've no idea, but I'm going with Pittsburg.
Most..I'll say Buffalo.
Sorry..most won is Steelers. I really am just guessing, obviously.
It's probably true, that the Steelers have won (cough cough, LOL!) more "super bowls" than any other team, but if I'm not mistaken, the Packers have more NFL championship wins (including Superbowls.) I think it's Y they call it title town.
Oh, Recky also asked which team played in the most Superbowls, I think it's Dallas. And of course, I could guess it's Irving(, TX), but it's *DEFINITELY* not Arlington(, TX).
:-)
This is dedicated to my "shovel" "grrrrrrrrrrrl" friend, Linda. It's SuperSister's song titled "A Girl Named You" -

OK, Recky has his silly(?) questions, here's my (most definitely) silly question: What's your fav. Superbowl advertisement this year?
I kind've liked the early on Audi adv., and the later on House adv. (the parody of the old "Mean Joe" Green Coke adv.)
Yeah, that House one was funny. I don't remember the Audi one, just by the product name. Oh wait...was that the Darth Vadar one? Cuz that one was MY favorite! Of course, around here, there was HUGE buzz about the Chrysler 2000 ad with Eminem in Detroit. Holy cow, I think the whole city collectively wet themselves when that one came on.
You,re BOTH right!!
Most wins-Pitts (6)
Most trips-Dallas (8)
Yall both win a cookie.
I'm shovel ready!
Come on 37 degrees!
Cool, I want a Man vs. Food cookie. There has to be one out there somewhere.
No, the Audi commercial was, well, the setting was a prison for the rich. I guess the plot was an escape from the prison. 2 guys I think escaping, 1 chose the Mercedes, the other chose the Audi. The Mercedes drove directly to the input facility 4 the prison, the Audi driver escaped, as I recall it.
The Darth Vader thing (the VW (which owns Audi, as I understand it) adv.) was cute, but I didn't like it as much as the other 2 I mentioned.
This should be a simple trivia question 4 our Texans here (Linda, only UR allowed to Google on this one):
What sports team's (amateur or professional) mascot or signature is derived from (the respected) "Mean Joe"?
In Houston, there's only Houstonians (and New Orleansians, or whatever they're/we're called.) In Dallas, there's Dallasians and Dallasites.
But Recky, knowing that Dallas has been to the superbowl 8 times, proves that he's: a DallASS. :-)
Too easy w/ all your Dallas references, it's the North Texas Mean Green.
Currently, the University of North Texas; formerly North Texas State University.
I don't think you gave Linda enough time to Google it, though, Reck. ;-)
No cookie 4U.
I heard they (N.Tex) might be goin into the WAC.
And I herd of cows. Yeah I know it's old, but what the heck.
"HeckReck" (tm), are you sure you're not thinking of TCU?
Another trivia question, I don't think I asked this before (and no Googling 4 everybody rules):
When the AFL and the NFL merged (thereby creating the AFC, NFC and Superbowl), the NFL/C had 2 more teams than the AFL/C. One team volunteered to move to the AFC to even the numbers. What is that team?
TCU's goin to the Big East, if you can believe that. Those guys change conf's every couple a years.
Man, that's a toughy....I'm gonna go w/ a northern team and say Cleveland.
No cookie 4U!!!! It's Pittsburgh.
I was gonna say that, but I didn't want Havic to feel silly.
;)
Steelers, eh?
Missed it by thaaaat much.
