Happened to notice that the weekend weather forcast down ya'll's way is hot. Africa hot. TARZAN couldn't take that heat. So, here's some pics of our yard in the winter to help cool you down.
I'd also just like to add, holy crap that's alotta snow!
Now I see what you mean when you say your ready for spring (if yall get one).
I can remember way back when on the GBB when you mentioned it startn to snow (first of the yr I believe). I had this picture in my head of, ya know, a nice layer a snow on the ground. But you guys get Siberia type stuff.
Ha, didn't notice the tiki torch. Did notice the green striped awning on the swing tho. Guess we coulda put that in the garage. Nice.
Not country, but it feels like it compared to our old house. We were on top of each other there. Just more space and backs up to some woods. Actually the high school is a ways on the other side. In the fall we can vaguely hear the football game announcer.
Oh we get snow! We "go anywhere" w/ a good snowblower and 4 wheel drive.
So someone asked if I missed back home. Well I didn't until I saw those pictures. It was always so quiet and peaceful before the snow was touched. Then the plow would come, push up the snow into huge piles in the corner that we lived on and we would build forts have snowball fights and go sledding. Good Times.
As far as greenbelt/woods goes. What we have in Texas is definitely different than up north. I have no issue calling it 'greenbelt'. 'Woods' doesn't quite fit for me. But when we went to Asheville, I felt a little of that. It felt like CT, but warmer.
I think I'd love it (the immense snowfall). I know everyone who lives up there says, "wait till ya hafta live it everyday". But, I'd dig me some snow...literally.
I like it too, I just don't like it in March. It's how long we wait for warm weather that gets frustrating. This happened to be a gorgeous snow, hence the pictures.
Never heard the term "green belt" before. Yeah, it is nice not having anyone behind us. It was one of our pre-reqs when we were looking. Also our neighbors houses are spaced off the road at diff. distances, so if you're on that deck, you can't see them either. (I'm keen on not having to talk to anyone if I can help it.)
I love snow. It's unfortunate that of us 4 regulars, we get the least where I'm at.
But what the hell(or hull)hole Houston is, snow's not as good if there aren't any mountains (or at least hills) to ski down, and we don't got those either.
