Life was a beach for the Osh's tday. The power went out at D's office, so we went to Kent Lake where there's a water park and thought I'd share some a the fun....and some of Michigan's beauty. Because I really don't think you
Texans get it. ;) And with that in mind, I plan on sharing more of MI with y'all....

So it's not all ice and snow there? And, that slide looks fun. Kinda small by Texas standards, but fun.
I take it your oldest boy lost the battle of the water vs. the sand castle. Bettin he didn't give up easily tho.

The color of your water appears to be the same as what we have in Texas @ our beaches.
I have taken a trip to Florida, and the difference in water colour is night and day, so-to-speak.
I gotta say the "sand" was crap. You can't even call that sand. Not the best beach. I'm on a mission to show you Mich, so you'll get to see some real beaches, hopefully. The water? Yeah, I'd guess the same. I mean they're inland lakes. But there's tons of em.
When we moved here I got a GPS for my car, cuz navigating around the lakes is crazy. There's no straight shot.
And it's so funny you say oldest D, and youngest me, cuz everyone here sees the opposite. T's got bigger rounder eyes like me and B's got squintier ones and fairer hair, like D.
Oh yeah, well e1 there is wrong!
Ok, I'll give ya the eyes thing, and maybe on the shape a face the "e1 here"'s are right, and there is the hair...

I caught a pretty good movie this morning called "Deja Vu" w/ Denzel. It was about an ATF officer who tries to stop a terrorist from bombing a ferry by using this new technology where they can 'fold' time and go back. Kinda cool. 2006 movie.
One a the things I like about bloggin is the ability to have a conversation at my convenience.

Just got through watchin Cool Hand Luke, great flick.
Luke explainin why he said he could eat 50 eggs in an hour...

I just caught the last hour of "..Greek Wedding". For some reason I didn't find that as funny as most did. Too over the top.

Youngest has just thrown down a Monopoly challenge...oh, she's goin down.

Won the Monop gm, tho hafta admit I got pretty lucky. Hit free prkin when it was loaded.
Then the boy decides he wants to take me on at Risk. Now, you hafta understand, I don't lose at Risk (well, not often) especially 1 on 1.
He beat me in two turns, and it wasn't lucky roles. He flat out out-stategeried me. Oh yeah, he's happy, said he was gonna savor it. SAVOR! I will be revenged.
Dang, two turns? Is that even possible? Challenge him at Trouble. I'm sure you could beat him at that.
Hey, regarding the fishing in SP...would you rather do an 8-1:00 fish or a 3-8:00? Originally I was thinkin afternoon, cuz I didn't know when you guys could get down there. But if you're comin on Friday, would the morning be cooler/better? That would leave ya'll time for an iced tea at the swim up bar after, which really shouldn't be missed. ;) I wanna make that res. soon, it's sneakin up on us. (I hope you've got a room somewhere, too!)

The date is July 19th. It's a Saturday. It's a day after the 18th and a day before the 20th. It's 3 weeks from yesterday. It's in 20 days.
Don't think I can swing those hours...a mean hour. (We don't have to fish, either...no bother either way.)

The pizza thing is pretty funny. I know there are organziations going after the ACLU. If we could get rid of the ACLU and CAIR, the world would be a better place.
Reck, I don't know about CAIR, but what on Earth makes you think we'd be better off without the ACLU?
