Alright gang, I know I've been really deep lately so I thought I'd lighten things up a bit. ;)
It's time for a quiz. I went with Seinfeld thinking most of you watched it at least occasionally. I coulda stumped you with a Beverly Hills 90210 quiz, but what fun would that be? I have confidence you'll do well, as most of the questions are from just memory, sans the quotes. We'll see....
(And I'm painfully aware of the many examples of prepositions ending sentences, but I'd sound goofy if I didn't.)
1. Who was "Miss Cool Toes" and who asked her out?
2. At what restaurant did Bania want Jerry to take him for dinner?
3. In "The Soup Nazi", what soup did Newman get before taking off down the street w/ it?
4. Jerry taught Puddy and George "the move", but all three guys did different endings. What were they?
5. What kind of un-cooked pasta did Kramer use to make a likeness of Jerry?
6. For what hockey team did Puddy paint his face?
7. What's George's secret ATM code?
8. Where did Jerry and George meet?
9. When George plays Trivial Pursuit with the bubble boy, which answer led to their fight?
10. George tells the unemployment office he's interviewed with what company?
11. What does George's father collect?
12. What's Kramer's mom's name?
13. What sitcom did Elaine write an episode for?
14. What was the name of the doughnut shop where Kramer saw Joe DiMaggio?
15. What was Kramer's one line in the Woody Allen movie he was gonna be in?
16. Who had a 13 year streak of not vomiting?
17. Who said, "Nobody takes better care of their hair than me. You can serve dinner on my head."?
18. Who said, "Look, do I have to break up with her in person? Can't I do it over the phone? I have no stomach for these things."?
19. Who said, "I guess I just wasn't ready for the responsibilities of a pretend marriage."?
20. Who said, "Who's gonna turn down a Junior Mint? It's chocolate, it's peppermint--it's delicious!"?

Wish I had more time, think I'd do better. That was fun.
You're under no time constraint. (Where am I going?) I'll give you some more time to think about some of em.
SPOILER ALERT! Don't read if you haven't guessed yet. This is for Reck:
I'll give you a few hints. First, French Onion is wrong, but it made me smile real big.
Reg. George's dad's collection. Think of Jerry saying to G, "Your dad collects __ __s??"
You're wrong on the first
6, but right on the last 5. (including the ones you skipped I mean.) #5 is very tough, I just happened to have seen it recently.
You're wrong on 6...think of what happened when he painted his face and then ran out in front of the car with a priest in it.
# 9 was a typo on the Triv. Pursuit card, but you have to remember the word.
Made me laugh out loud when I just remembered the Devils (from your hint) He had this wild look on his face too.
Pretty sure Kramer's mom's name is Babbs.
Vaguely recall Bunnle Boy ep, but can't remem card.
Gonna go w/ Jerry for #1
Bania wanted seafood?
Never saw what Mr. Castanza collects
Boscoe is correct! That one I know for sure. Or was it Olvaltine?
Wait a minute, do you mean I right on last 5 plus ones after first 6? I'm confused.
I'm guessin you want me to tell you the answers, then?
No, I mean out of the 20, 1-6 are wrong, and 16-20 are right.
#7,8, and 12 are right as well.
I can't get anymore right, i'm done...NO SOUP FOR ME!
Gettin ready for game, different league; unfotunetly same team.
Alright, I'll give you the answers later. Also, I commented over at Nestor's "slavery" post if you feel like ripping me a new one later. Good luck at the game!!
Games were canceled because a no umps. Scrimmaged instead, and yes, we lost that too. We're actually alittle worse "talent" wise than in the spring :( atleast the season's shorter. Ya got a look on the bright side of life.
Always.
K, here are some of the answers that I'm sure have been plaguing you all day. ;)
1. Miss Cool Toes was a gal that sat in the coffee shop and wouldn't talk to anyone. Jon Lovitz's character had the nerve to ask her out after donning his new toupe. (Gary)
2. Bania wanted to go to Mendy's.
3. Newman got "jamalaya!!!"
4. Jerry- the clockwise swirl, Puddy- the pinch, George- the counter-clockwise swirl (w/ the knuckle)
5. Fusilli pasta (cuz Jerry's silly!)
9. The Triv. Purs. answer was "moors", but the typo said "moops", so G said he was wrong. (I thought that was hilarious.)
10. Vandelay Industries
11. George's dad collects T.V. Guides!
13. Elaine wrote an episode for "Murphy Brown".
14. Dinky Doughnuts
15. Kramer's line..."These pretzels are making me thirsty!"
You got the rest right. :)
Urg!! How could I forget Vandaley Industies.
Wow, this is off topic, but i just realized you can right click a word to spell ck it. Cool.
Fusilli pasta, that's funny.
Now that you mention Mendy's and Murphy Brown I remember those.
You ARE the Seinfeld trivia champ!
How about Cheers? You should do a Cheers one.
Oooh, that would be a lot harder for me, but I thought about it. It's just that we watch a lot of the re-runs still. And I bought the D the complete dvd set for Christmas and on our way to GB last weekend, we were listening to a few episodes.
Good mornin.
Mornin! I hear they're shootin pigeons at Wimbledon. Classic.
PETA will be p*ss*ed.
Was just readin a news story on MSN entitled: "There's No Doubt That Other Earth's Exist". Reeeaaaalllyy...
Considerin we've found none, we have no proof of other "earth's", and it's complete speculation, I'm sold.
This reminds me of the GW bozos.
They already are.
Don't tempt me to substitute "other Earths" for "God" and post this back to you. ;)
:)
I was set up, wasn't I?
;)
Arrrgg. I don't like you anymore.
Hope your dog feels better. Meant to say that a second ago on my blog but was still chucklin about the German 'aaahhh" thing and forgot.
Actually I wasn't settin you up. Just thought it was a story you'd be interested in; you bein the alien watcher-out-er-for type.
But, after you mentioned it, I thought, what the heck.
Me too. I wasn't expecting that. Is that normal?
I could jinx you, but I won't.
I heard that it's an "earth like" planet out there. Meaning one approx the same distance from it's star like ours. Why am I telling you this..you read the article.
Ahhh...see how much credit I give you? I'll learn.
Ahhh...earth like. Guessn cause it's round. I probably read alittle more into these "stories" than you do. It's like (the scientists) are sooooo sure of themselves, like they think they're rocket scientists or something ;)
"Cuz it's round"... maybe you DIDN'T read the article! You're bein impossible on purpose.
Sorry I'm not contributing in this thread, I'm not into the quizes thing.
Now if I was to get on a show like Price Is Right? I'm sure I would at least pretend to be excited about it so I would have a chance to be chosen to be on the show.
...and another thing...
That's ok, Stan. I appreciate you saying so as opposed to just ignoring the post all together. "Stanley Rosenthal...come on down!!!" I can hear it now.
I'll give you 'another thing'...
Actually, I thought my point there at the end of our convo was a decent one. If when people do bad things in the name of God, it's not God's fault, but man's...then why is it when people do GOOD things in the name of God it's because of God and not man. That doesn't add up.
I'm rescinding that last comment, it wasn't a decent point. It's because, God wants us to do good things but we have free will. So if we do bad things, it's our fault for not following God. When we do good things, we're following what he wants. Did I answer my own question fairly accurately?
The only place this can lead then, is the question of exactly how much control we have over our own fate. If there's a plan for each of us, then where's free will come in?
I'm gonna cut and paste this at N's to keep the continuity of the discussion there.
You answered it better than I could.
I considered doing this, but it'd be almost all guesses. I didn't like Seinfeld during it's run, I didn't start to 'get it' until it was in reruns, but I still didn't watch that much. Anyway, no guesses from me. Besides, as I'm typing, I'm looking at Reck's guesses even though I'm trying not to.
Lin., (a supposed) "God" makes a great excuse for (so-called) "men".
