Finally!

I've been working on this cross-stitch of the winter street scene for over a year, and I finally finished it today! I'm pleased with how it turned out, so I thought I'd show it to you and what the heck, a few more while I'm at it. The ones that are the most difficult and in the end, the most beautiful, (some really can be), I frame and give away, so I don't have pics of those. The sun/moon one was my first.

Hey, you're a regular Martha Stewart. I'm impressed.

Those look time consumin. And for some reason, they all make me think of the holiday time a year.

Families back from their Houston trip. Was just me and the dogs all week. The lack a bustle was nice, but I sure missed em. Can't believe school starts in 2 days.

Yes, time consuming. "...make me think of the holiday time a year". Yeah, crafty crap'll do that.

2 days? I hope your buildings are air conditioned! We start the 3rd.

Seems like a lot of drama w/ the olympics this year. Fallin outta boats, fainting, etc.

We are currently beating you in the heat department. 78 there...90 here. yuck.

Nestor said...

78 where? Not Austin!

Linda said...

I looked up San Antonio on The Weather Channel site. Said 78 degrees, 77% humidity, and rain.

Linda said...

Whoa. I just looked it up again and it's got S.A. at 80, feeling like 84, and Austin at feeling 99! That's strange.

Any thought on Biden? My brother and wife were very excited when they heard...at 3:00 am...via text message.
'Ohp'. Sorry, just threw up a little in my mouth.

RecknHavic said...

Personally, I'm really excited about Biden. Nothin exemplifies change like a senator who's been in office for 35 yrs.
He also said (during the repub primaries) that he's be "proud to serve as John McCain's VP".

Leave it to the dumbocrats to lose an election that they should be walkin away w/.

Wanna bet on who wins in November?

Just two words...

..gambling anonymous.

Last O nite tonite (kinda glad).
Gonna watch the closin ceremonies?

Linda said...

Wimp.

Maybe I'll watch a little, I heard they're passing the torch to Jimmi Page. Love it.

Linda said...

Actually, I didn't mean a literal bet, I meant it in the "wanna make a bet?" fashion. Wouldn't want you to think I bet on everything...the odds on that happening aren't very good. ;)

I'd be watching the ceremonies, but I've 2 things taping and I can't turn the channel. I'll check it out at 9:00.

Linda said...

Ha...ok, not exactly passing Page the torch! I misunderstood what he was gonna do. Pretty cool, tho. I love watchin him play.

RecknHavic said...

We actually gave up on the O and watched Return of the King.

I think I'm good now for four years.

Oh, we're bettin alright.

Big day manana, Lil S is excited.

Looks like I got me some postin to catch up on. Actually I've been workin on a TH post that I'll prob publish manana.

You're avoiding my alien post. Do they scare you?

Hope the little one has a fun first day!

RecknHavic said...

She was pretty excited. We jammed to VT's Boyz In The Sink on the drive; that always gets her fired up.

What alien post ;)

First days are exciting. Do you take her every morning? Our kids ride the bus. I GUESS I'll walk em down to the stop the first day. :)

I was buyin em shirts for the first day of school at Target yesterday, and B says, 'you're upset about the first day of school.' I go 'you mean obsessed?'
'Yeah, yeah..you're OBSESSED!' :) I'm not upset, that's for sure.

So, you gonna sub this yr?

Linda said...

I don't know. I don't want to..it's not very enjoyable to be honest. Not sure what to do.

Linda said...

I may look into doin something from home on the computer. That way I wouldn't have to leave the house or talk to anyone. Perfect.

RecknHavic said...

Let me know how that goes. You'd be livin the dream.

Just heard Sir Charles Barkley inform me that I may not vote for Obama cause he's black. Oh, in front of a camera I'd say i would, but, percentage wise, some a whitey jus won't vote for em.

Somebody get me my Bible and shotgun. Yeeee Haaawww!!

Linda said...
