First Day of Fall

The first day of my favorite season has arrived. I love when you start noticing the angle of the sun has changed...and when the nights are as long as the days. Round these parts it means checking on your leaf blower and making sure your guns are clean. The cider mills are in full operation mode, and the apple cider, pumpkin pies and caramel apples are front and center in the grocery stores. And don't forget the colors...the trees are starting to turn and the display never disappoints.

Are we still draftin? If so, make it 7:15 as I just got home and must get cleaned up.

RecknHavic said...

We're ready whenever yall are. So, what's the procedure?

Linda said...

Are you sure? Do you wanna grab a bite to eat, or have a cup of coffee. I mean, we'll wait...;)

RecknHavic said...

Dinner won't be ready for awhile (chckn & dumplins) so were ready if yall are.

Linda said...

Alright, I was thinkin..do you wanna reverse the order we had last time? That would make it you, Dave, Summer, me. We're pickin 4.

RecknHavic said...

Sure.

Linda said...

K, you go first.

RecknHavic said...

I choose Robert "Bob" Crowley.

Linda said...

Dave wants Paloma

RecknHavic said...

Summer goes w/ Dan Kay.

Linda said...

I'll take Marcus.

RecknHavic said...

I hear ya Dave

Linda said...

And Charlie

RecknHavic said...

Summer picks the Amazon Crystal Cox

Linda said...

Dave chooses Jacque

RecknHavic said...

I see yall are on a first name basis w/ the contestants.

Linda said...

Yes. We are.

RecknHavic said...

Ok, I'll go w/ Ken and Matty.

Linda said...

Dave gets Randy. (gee that's fitting after his first 2 picks.)

RecknHavic said...

:)

Summer picks Ace.

RecknHavic said...

Takin these last two kinda serious aren't ya?

Linda said...

I'll go w/ Kelly and Michelle.

Linda said...

lol...yes! I couldn't decide.

RecknHavic said...

Summer takes Danny.

Linda said...

D = Susie

RecknHavic said...

Cool. I'll take Corinne.

RecknHavic said...

No takers on Sugar or the old chic huh?

So, any new rules? How bout scorin?

Linda said...

So Gillian and Jessica got the shaft. Can you say "final two"?

Linda said...

5 pts instead of 3 for finding immunity idol.

5 points instead of 10 for guessing first one out.

Oh, we need to do that.

Any other suggestions are welcome.

Linda said...

D says Ace first one out
I say Ken

RecknHavic said...

No sugs here. How do yall feel about your picks?
Unlike last time(Dave's couples strategy)., I don't see anyone w/ a clear advantage.

Linda said...

I'm cool with mine. D says to get ready to buy him another dacquiri.

RecknHavic said...

I say Gillian first out. Summer's ponderin it.

RecknHavic said...

Ha, we never did pay for the first one. If he wins again, he can make it a dbl.

S says Corinne first out.

OK, two people pick two a my picks to go out first. Is there somethin I don't know?

Linda said...

That's all we can do for the first episode, right? First one out? Then after that we pick tribes for reward and immunity.

Linda said...

It's the power of suggestion.

RecknHavic said...

I'm feelin pretty good about my pics actually. Which is a baaaddd sign.

Linda said...

Especially if you felt good about them last time...cuz we all know how THAT turned out for you!

(Nestor's gonna freak when he sees a new post and 40 odd comments.)

Speakin of which...did the pictures get you geeked for fall? Do dead leaves fall in Texas?

RecknHavic said...

Hadn't had a chance to ck em out yet, will now.

Well, they fall, but all the illegals snatch em up before they hit the ground :)

RecknHavic said...

NOW, I'm psphcd about fall. Pretty scenery. We get color changes but not as vivid as yall or as much (Lost Maples area notw/standin). And the colors change way later here, obviously.

RecknHavic said...

Like the scoped guns your boys got too.

S and oldest glued to the tube watchin Heroes. I used to watch it until I figured out how much it SUCKS!

Linda said...

Illegals...you're horrible.

Hadn't thought about your leaves changing later. That one pic w/ me in it is in the western part of the U.P. Right by Lake Superior in the Porcupine Mts. That trail was at Lake in the Clouds. It was October and incredible.

Never seen Heroes. Guess I won't worry that I'm missin anything. D's packin for Chicago..leaves tomorrow.

RecknHavic said...

Illegals..as in yard guys.

Ah, Chi-town.

It's a ridicules show.

Linda said...

Oh, right. Yard guys.

I love Chi-town. I spent a lot of time there during college as it was only 2 1/2 hours away. It's a great city. One time a couple friends and I walked from all the way from Lincoln Park (a burb) into downtown and walked around all night. About 4am we crashed on the beach till the sun woke us up.

Ridiculous? Super powers and heroes! How can you go wrong?

Linda said...

Didja happen to notice that Svet's back at Stan's place? "Helen". I'm tempted to ask her if she was at the GB convention.

Linda said...

"Angels in the Outfield"...very funny.

RecknHavic said...

Not really readin his blog anymore.

Think I went there once as a kid. It was windy.

RecknHavic said...

You done alotta sleepin outside. Beaches, under towers, etc..
You were a real free wheeler, eh?

Linda said...

Yes, it's that. Didn't know you've been that far north.

Well, good night. Maybe next draft I'll just call ya. :)

Linda said...

Doesn't everybody sleep in parks and on beaches and in cars? Maybe it's just cuz I was cheap. ;) Shoot, I mean with money...you know what I mean.

RecknHavic said...

:) Yeah, I know what ya mean.

Thought For The Day

"Corn and grain, corn and grain,
All that falls shall rise again."
Wiccan Harvest Chant

Linda said...

Ok, I actually choked when I read that! Wiccan Harvest Chant?! You're killin me.

Nestor said...

The UP. I saw a bumper sticker the other day that made me think about you. I meant to mention it then because I would have remembered exactly what it said. But it was was something like "Gosh! Check out da UP eh!" I would have no idea what it was talkling about except it had a picture of the UP.

Nestor said...

I actually didn't freak, cause I knew you were doing the survivor thing.

The pictures are great. Seeing pics of an actuall Fall make me miss being back north sometimes. One of these days, I think I'd like to turn into a snowbird. Spend May to October (and Christmas)in the North somewhere and November to April in Texas.

Linda said...

I've seen that bumper sticker... course that's not so weird here.

Now that sounds like an ideal living arrangement!

Our weather's been oddly consistant lately. Every day is the same...sunny and mid 70's. I'm not complaining but I'm used to more variety.

Linda said...

omg...I'm having Feiry Habanero Doritoes for breakfast and they're FABULOUS. I'm not a big Doritoes person, but these are killer.

Linda said...

whoops..."Fiery" not feiry. Like fire. Hot. Burn the tongue hot.

Linda said...

I was having a perfectly lovely morning, and then I happened to catch the Pussycat Dolls performing their new song "When I Grow Up". I didn't think it could get stupider than "Don't You Wish Your Girlfriend Was Hot Like Me", but I was way wrong. Now I know I'm old, but even if I wasn't I'd know crap when I heard it. Someone needs to make these girls go away.

Nestor said...

Here is getting much better. The high tops out at about 90, but it gets down into the upper 60's at night. In the summer it was high in the upper 90's to low 100's with the low at about 88. Plus in the summer it hits 100 around 2 in the afternoon and stays 100 until 7 PM. Now it's hitting 90 around 2 and it's 80 by 7 PM. It makes the evening pretty nice. I think it'll be just about perfect in 2 weeks or so.

Nestor said...

Now that I think about it, I think it was: 'Check oot da UP eh!'

RecknHavic said...

So, what exactly does it mean?

Yes, the overall drop in temps is nice.

Linda said...

Oh, right. Sorry Reck...allow me to translate that for you.

Ya'll should be fixin to take a trip yonder to the Upper Pen'nSUla.

RecknHavic said...

Ohhh...

Yall be a macon at dra'iiive offin.

Linda said...

Was that an actual question?

RecknHavic said...

Naaw..

Linda said...

I wonder why some pudding needs to be refridgerated and other puddings don't.

Linda said...

I wonder why I insist on thinking that there's a "d" in refrigerate.

RecknHavic said...

Are you channelin Jerry Seinfeld again?

Good question tho. We get those mega packs a puddin from Costco that doesn't need a fridge, but we rotate em in to the box cause they taste better cold.

RecknHavic said...

Leftovers for dinner here tonite. I don't know why e1 here frowns at leftover nite; I love it. No cost, little fuss and it's stuff you're comfortable w/.

Could be that I grew up eatin hamburger helper 5 times a week too.

RecknHavic said...

It's rainin!

Linda said...

I admit, I have a little Seinfeld in me. But I have been wondering since my trip to the store yesterday. Hadn't thought of Costco for that...good idea. I get the generic non-refridge kind and do the same thing.

My fam's the same way about leftovers. D doesn't like it at all. Waste too much if you don't, imo. Don't knock Hamburger Helper. (I like the lasagna and the stroganoff. :))

Linda said...

So I signed B up for soccer at this really cool facility. It's huge...w/ indoor soccer w/ bleachers, roller hockey, a gym, a grill and snack bar, etc. So we go to the first night and find out he'll be in a DIFFERENT building.. the one in front of the awesome one. It's one room that's carpeted (so no cleats). You can't hear the coach..(low talker), nowhere to sit and it's boring as heck. Bummer. 3 weeks down, 7 to go.

Linda said...

Say Reck, the oldest caught a snake by its tail today and put it in a bucket for safe keeping. I'm just sayin...

Of course he DID have a leg up on ya..he was wearing shoes. :)

RecknHavic said...

Acyuaaly, I still like HH; fam won't eat it. That's ok, atleast I got em hooked on chicken fried spam.

Bummer bout the soccer boredom. maybe you should be one a those in your face soccer moms.

RecknHavic said...

Impressive. Hope it was a poisonous one. Please provide more details.

RecknHavic said...

Uh, that SHOULD say "was not"..

So, just sittin here watchin Dancing With The Stars and...what?..I can watch if I want to.
I'll watch as long as Kim stays in. And could add a Brooke Burke watch as well.

Cloris Leachman is hilarious!

Linda said...

Leachman's a nut job. (ok, I'm watchin it too). I now love Warren Sapp.

Linda said...

Reg. snake..I don't have many details. Apparently he walked home from the bus, and found it on the cul de sac island out front, grabbed it by its tail and brought it home and plopped it in a bucket. He came in very excited! Very proud of himself. Then later the bucket was tipped over and the snake was gone. ??? Who knows. I was not as thrilled as he...don't know much about the variety of snakes we get round these parts, but pretty sure it was just a gardner. Garder? Whatever.

Linda said...

Who's Kim dancing with?

Linda said...

Am I supposed to know who this Cody kid is? Regardless, I can appreciate a quick step to Cheap Trick.

Linda said...

Did Kim "I have a big a**" Kardashian just dance to "Baby Got Back"? Thought they might try to downplay the whole bum thing, but apparently not.

Ok, I'm done commenting on this dumb show. Hit me with something less dumbed down. Please. I'm begging you.

Linda said...

Hurry...or I'm gonna comment on Clay Aiken comin out of the closet in People.

RecknHavic said...

Didn't get to see all a it, had to go p/u the boy from work. Did see Kim and Sapp dance. Thought Sapp did well; so there;s hope she won't be eliminated soon.

Thinkin your oldest may have alittle Bear Grylls in him. He didn't try to eat the snake raw did he?

Linda said...

Oh, Kim's dancin w/ Sapp? Excellent!

No, he wasn't hungry.

Thinkin next week Kardashian should dance to "Fat Bottom Girls" by Queen. Now THAT'S a jam.

RecknHavic said...

I'm talkin about the Kim from Australia chic btw.

Linda said...

I know, but there's a celebrity Kim, too.

Linda said...

Ok, I finally addressed Helen at Stan's and now I'm kinda nervous. I'm such a wimp. I didn't even call her out. sheesh.

RecknHavic said...

Well, if it is Svet she's probably here readin your comment right now. Dee dee..dee dee..dee dee..dee dee..

RecknHavic said...

Is the celeb Kim the sultry lookin brunette?

Nestor said...

I think the non-refrigerated puddin' has more preservatives, and less real ingredients, ie. ingredients that are less likely to go bad.

RecknHavic said...

Read your comment to "H". Man, you're askin for it! Pun intended.

That's prob why the non refridg stuff tastes so good. Ahhh....preservatives.

Linda said...

Yes, that's the other Kim.

I'm sure you're right, Nestor.

Oh, it's Svet...and if I ever grow a pair (like Hillary on SNL)..I'll say somethin. Tho it's doubtful.

RecknHavic said...

I agree, it's her. You should defintly say somethin. Go on..do it...I dbl dog dare ya :)

RecknHavic said...

Gotta crash (shouldn'ta napped earlier). Cold's ebbin (thankfully). NEVER underestimate the power a zinc!

Linda said...

Good morning!
Nestor wrote an interesting post at Stan's reg. men and women. I'm thinkin he misses the days of Leave it to Beaver. :) The real reason Nestor doesn't have cable...sitcoms. ;)

RecknHavic said...

Just read it. He called her the "S: word :)

Off to trabajo, have a good one.

Linda said...

Enjoy Trabajo...I hear it's lovely this time of year.

RecknHavic said...

It is. Especially the way the sun reflects off the mud knife and hopper gun. And the sanding paper..just lovely!

So what's this I hear about a suspension of the prez debate?

Linda said...

I know! It's all the talk today. Off to piano, check ya later.

Nestor said...

I heard Obama stumblin' through his press conference. I was driving home from work and had Hannity on. I listened for about five minutes and he didn't really say anything but 'call me!'

This is a great move for McCain, and Obama's dropping the ball. If Sen. McCain can get a solid bilatal solution to this economic 'crisis' and Obama does nothing, I think it will lock up the election for McCain. But the proposal as I heard it needs some tinkering. It gives WAY too much power to the Secretary of the Treasury. If Obama's elected, I don't want Obama's peeps having that much power.

RecknHavic said...

Agreed. McCain is puttin country first. Obama's makin a bad call on this one. maybe cause the longer this crisis drags on the better it is for him politically. I've noticed he's gone up in the polls the last few days.

Piano, eh?

Linda said...

My bro and I were laughin this afternoon about how people'll spin this.

Dems: McCain's doin this as a publicity stunt cuz he's down in the polls!

Reps: What a bold move! He cares more about us than himself!

etc, etc...

I'm guessin it's all been said by now..I'll watch the telly tnite and see.

Linda said...

Yeah, I've got T takin. I really want them both to know how to play, but I'll tell ya...this economy keeps up the way it is and I'm gonna say forget it. Honestly, I can teach em what he's learning right now if I really wanted to.

Linda said...

I have no digital display on my microwave. So I put somethin it, set the time and...it's pretty much a crapshoot from there. Very annoying.

RecknHavic said...

Little dependent on technology are we?

Hey wait a minute, that would suck.

RecknHavic said...

Really, I don't think politics will factor in to this financial crisis. Not 40 days prior to an election, w/ the presidency and control a congress on the line. Nope..couldn't happen.

RecknHavic said...

Broadenin their horizions, that's nice.

Linda said...

Ha..ok, the microwave thing isn't life altering, but it is an annoyance. Especially when that's your timer...
"Hey Mom, when's dinner ready?"
"Hell if I know!"

Linda said...

HE doesn't think it's so nice. (Hates the practicin.) I told him that chicks'll dig it, but that doesn't seem to matter to him (yet). The whole "you'll thank me someday" doesn't float.

RecknHavic said...

Youngest took em several years ago (for a couple a months). When she started cryn sayn she didn't want to do it anymore, I caved.

So, what'ya think we should do; bail em out or no bail?

Linda said...

It stinks makin em do stuff they don't wanna do, doesn't it? (This kid may win based on money.) I just see music as another language. And it's gonna help later, I'm sure of it.

Oh Havic, this is so far outta my league I'd be a fool to comment on what should be done.

RecknHavic said...

You & me both.

I guess what I don't like is the gov bailin out these big outfits. Nobody bails me out (when biz is bad) & and, come to think of it, I wouldn't want anybody to.

Just seems like a buncha fat cats helpin out a buncha other fat cats.

Linda said...

I hear ya, tho it's how we suffer for the current state that scares me. Small businesses unable to get loans for payroll, etc. It was hard enough to get those loans before. It amazes me the companies that just don't pay what they owe. D battles that constantly.

RecknHavic said...

Accounts receivable can be a b*tch. My biz is so small tho that it's really not a prob; for a bigger biz (w/ high overhead) I imagine it's tough.

Nestor said...

I don't know. I hate the idea of bailing companies out because it sets a bad precedent. I've thought for awhile the only companies we should bail out should be companies that build our military (or could in times of crisis) Lockheed, Northrup, Ford, GM etc.

I think that it is bad if our citizens can't get loans though, but the idea of the US government providing 'security' to these companies bad investments is laughable. It's like someone with REALLY bad credit co-signing for someone else with bad credit.

I also don't know that I like the power that the proposal would give to Hank Paulson. Wasn't he an executive at Bear Stearns? Maybe he wants that power so he can cover up some former wrongdoings. I know I'm throwing out a conspiracy theroy with no evidence or much research, but why would the government give any American as much power as they are trying to give Paulson, and keep him immune from penalties if he screws it up?

Linda said...

What's almost as interesting (and not nearly as important) (?), is the whole McCain wanting to postpone the debate. It looks like Obama will be there, so he's gotta show up. This'll be interesting as far as polling is concerned.

Linda said...

Another Coke headin my way from Mr. Nestor! :) Thank YOUUUUU Bulwinkle style.....

RecknHavic said...

Ok, I must be stupid or really tired cause...

if there are roughly 140,000,000 (federal) tax payers and only 60% really pay taxes (the bottom 40% are basically exempt)and every tax payer contributes, say $10,000 toward this bailout {56,000,000 tax payers x $10,000 = $560,000,000,000}; doesn't that still leave us $140,000,000,000 short?

The reason I ask is they're sayn it's gonna cost about 10grand per tax payer for the bailout.

RecknHavic said...

Here's a scary thought..
it would cost taxpayers (the 60%) $200,000 ea to erase the deficit.

Geez, I say we toss all the ploiticians out and start from scratch.

"Game over, it's game over man!"

RecknHavic said...

Make that, "to erase our nat debt".

RecknHavic said...

Well, I don't think I'm gonna solve this nat crisis tonite, too tired.

gna

Linda said...

That's a lot a numbers...

"Geez, I say we toss all the ploiticians out and start from scratch." That may be the best idea I've heard yet.

Try solving the nat'l crisis tomorrow after a night's sleep. That's what everyone else is doing.

Thinkin the sleeper is either the gamer dude or Jacquie; really wanted her.

DAVE!

Linda said...

Yep..I won't comment till ya see it."..picked the right old f*rt"..lol.

That was in the Porcupine Mountains at Lake in the Clouds. In da western UP, just above Wisconsin. (Hey I might havta google earth that later.)

Are you implying that picture wasn't taken last fall?? Oh alright..honeymoon..I was 27.

Linda said...

Sherry Shepard on the View just said that we wanna see the debate Friday, cuz we're only 40 days away from the election and people need to know more before they vote. wth? Really? Where's everyone been for the last..oh I don't know...YEAR??!!

Nestor said...

Yeah, I think the liberal media is missing the fact that McCain has been asking Obama to debate for MONTHS, and Obama keeps ducking him. Now Obama wants to debate. Maybe he feels like he has his answers prepared enough, and doesn't want to blow it. I think it (the debate) may still happen if this bailout gets solved by tommorow morning.

Linda said...

I just saw a clip of Probst getting interviewed on the LA news. He said some stuff that I thought I'd share...

He called Corrine "one of the meanest players".."just nasty".

Said if you looked at Ken you'd think he didn't have a chance, but he may surprise you.

And that we won't forget Crystal.

I'm thinkin at least that they're not first out and they may be around awhile! Just an fyi...

Linda said...

Those debates (prez & vice) are gonna make me really nervous. Like I'm gonna be watchin with my hands over my eyes, peekin through.

Nestor said...

I'm not too worried about the debates. That is where McCain does well. When you take away Obama's teleprompter he's like a fish out of water. Palin interviews well, and I'm sure she'll debate just fine. Biden is sure to say something stupid like;
"Hillary's more qualified than me, she's a better choice." or "You can't go into a 7-11 or a Dunkin' Donuts in Delaware without a slight Indian accent" or the statement he made about FDR on TV, it goes on and on. Obama is a stutter machine, and Biden is a gaffe machine. I think McCain picks up between 5-10 points due to the debates. I also think McCain wins Florida, Michigan, Ohio, New Hampshire and Virgina, and makes a run at Colorado. Colorado's tricky though, you have uber-conservatives mixed with uber-liberals.

Linda said...

You have WAY more confidence than I.

I don't think McCain will win here unless Obama really screws it up somehow.

Linda said...

School story...

So T's sitting next to the infamous "worst" kid in the class. I was tryin not to get involved, as I'm not big into complaining, figure it'll work its way out. (Unfortunately I think I passed this gene on to T.) Plus, he's gotta learn to deal with all sorts of different personalities. But this kid's behavior is bordering on bullying. (Takes stuff outta T's desk and drops it on the floor, takes stuff outta someone elses desk, puts it in T's and blames it on T, picks his nose and wipes it in T's book, etc.) So I tell T that this behavior crosses the line and that it's ok to tell the teacher. It's not bein a tattle tail.

So yesterday he finally asks the student teacher if he could change seats. The teachers then gather the kids who sit in the general vacinity of this kid and tell them that if the kid's doin something they don't like, they should pick up their stuff and move away from him. This will teach the cretin (sorry, boy), that he can't act this way.

I'm sorry...what? How bout you tell the boy to knock it the hell off or he risks suspension? Maybe a phone call home would be helpful! (k, I'm not sure this hasn't been done, but somehow I doubt it.)

So I told T to stick it out one more week, that'll make it one month, and if he's not moved I'll talk to the teacher. He says, 'but NO one wants to sit by him.' I said, 'tough, it's someone else's turn.' sheesh.

Nestor said...

It's a shame that teachers are so afraid of a child's parents that they won't do their job. It's too bad he has to deal with it. I also wonder what's going on in that boy's home. The problem with so many teachers is that they don't ask the real questions to get to the problem. Telling kids it's OK to move seats doesn't deal with his bad behavior and doesn't deal with the root causes of his bad behavior.

RecknHavic said...

Made it!

For some reason it's not postin my comments. We'll see if this one goes through.

Linda said...

I know Nestor. And really, that was a bit of a rant..I should be giving her the benefit of the doubt and assume there's a lot more going on behind the scenes with this kid. I'm sure his parents are aware and everything. It just stinks when the put the "good kids" next to the not-so-good kids to balance the room. He's been saddled with it before and I feel badly for him.

Linda said...

Hooray! And it's a two hour premiere!! So exciting!!

Anonymous said...

We're both takin Susie to go.

Thanks for the heads up!

RecknHavic said...

Ok, we,ve watched till first immunity challenge (which is alittle advantage cause t=ya can p/u on the annoyn people) so if yall want to wait till then to make 2nd pic that's ok.

S and I both pic Michele.

RecknHavic said...

If ya want to switch yalls 2nd pic at first immun challenge it's still ok.

Linda said...

"t=ya can p/u..." Is this a new language I should know about?

Are you trying to say you know which tribe has immunity so you knew which people not to choose for immunity?

Linda said...

Michelle??!! But..but...she..climbed that hill...so fast...

Linda said...

Sorry..you knew which people not to pick to get voted off. Ok, I'm confused and it's only the first night.

Linda said...

Ok, I think I'm where you guys were now. Right before first comp. So we'll switch it, but we're both goin w/ Gillian.

I can't believe you have Gill AND Michelle...good chances. Ok, back to the show..

RecknHavic said...

Won't say anything cause yall are behind in viewn..but, this is a very entertainin one. The first tribal counsel made us laugh.

Linda said...

Still watching, but just so we're clear...our first picks for first one out were done. No one got it.

Second picks are Gill, Gill, Mich, Michelle, right? So ya'll can't get Michelle right, as she's gone. Just wanna make sure I'm gettin that right.

RecknHavic said...

Done here.

RecknHavic said...

That's a tough situation.

I can only say what I would do. I'd meet w/ the teacher, in person, gently explain that it's her(?) responsibility to make sure that kids don't wipe boogers on other kids books (much less the other stuff). This is unacceptable behavior and should be dealt w/.

Again, that's just what I'd do.

RecknHavic said...

Yep, missed it by thaaat much.

RecknHavic said...

Sorry Nest, McCain cain't win Mich; too many libs there :)

Of course he has to hold Ohio, or he's done. I think he'll (McCain) take Virginia, Florida, and he'll pull out Colo. New Hamp, I don't think so; Penn, no way. McCain hasta sweep the center, steal Iowa, hold Nevada and then maybe have a chance. New Mex has is gone. Calif holds 1/5 of the electoral votes to win this darn thing, so BO has a big advantage goin in.

If I were given odds on this thing I'd hafta go w/ Obama as a 3-2 fave.

We've seen it now, too. My totals are...
D-6 (4pts per player still in game and guessin 2nd out)

L- 5 ( 3 per player (michelle gone) and guessin 2nd out)

R&S- 4 (point per player)

Sound right?

Linda said...

Boy, you had it nailed for first 2 out, just in opposite order. Bummer!

Linda said...

Thanks for the input...I agree. Except that I'll do it via email. I'm quite sure at this point that's all that it'll take.

Sounds right. If I'm in last, it must be.

I'm more of a face to face person in situations like that.

Linda said...

Ok, good.

I'm the opposite. I have a hard time feeling like I'm coming off as confrontational.

Person to person just seems more..well..personable. Plus, there's always two sides to every story.

I'm thinkin that Kota's gonna get swept. Oh, and Charlie and Marcus make a really cur=te couple :)

Beats me how I hit the equals sign when typen. I do it alot and then hafta backtrack and edit. Sometimes I miss it.

Funny, I've got Marcus AND Charlie, who's as gay as the day is long. Not that I wouldn't have picked him, but now I have 3 girls and 1 guy. ;)

Gotta keep that tricky right pinky under control!

Personable, eh? Well, I can certainly rise to the occassion, but admittedly I'm pretty shy as a rule. And having been a teacher, I know her side, that's why I'm so patient.

Actually you've lost the dead weight (Michele) and have two of what looks like a strong 4 or 5 alliance.

I've got Corinne in that same alliance and hopefully (Gabon winner) Bob in there as well.

Alittle worried about my computer geek (Ken) lastin. Matty should hang tough for awhile.

I think your picks are lookin really good right now. Did you read my comment about Probst sayin Ken might surprise us? That's good news. And it looks like you picked the right old dude w/ Bob. He's kickin butt right now.

I'd just like to take this time to thank Mr. Joe Boxer for inventing the boxer brief and yoga. Ok...at least the boxer brief.

I went on one of those electoral map things and if McCain wins the states he's going to win, and Viginia, Florida, and Ohio I think that works out to be enough. I don't think he needs to win Michigan, I just think he will. Well he could at least. If he campaigned properly there, attacking the big government liberals in the state who keep raising taxes sending jobs out of state and overseas, I think he could claim a lot of Independents and Blue Dogs. New Hampshire is a toss up as well, but I think the people there just generally like him. I don't know about Colorado. I think the Personhood Colorado push will get out a lot of conservatives to vote who might have stayed home. This will certainly be a help to McCain, but will they actually pull the lever for him, or leave it blank?

We'll see. I think the develpoin trend is toward Obama. But the election is still a month way; so anything can happen.

I still think Obama wins; course I've not made one correct prediction this political season, so we got that goin for us.
