Yes, a lot of people say he looks like him! Even T sometimes freaks out when he sees a pic of him when he was younger. I put my 4th gr. school pic side by side w/ T's the other day. Our teeth are exactly the same. We looked like bro/sis. Genes are weird.

I was forced to post on TH tnite. There was a poster who "quoted" the Obama "quote" about him saying why he didn't put his hand on his heart during the Nat'l Anthem. Saying that he would prefer "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing.."
Have ya heard that one? Well, it's garbage, and I think people oughtta know that. Some get emails and pass it on like it's fact, and that's scary. I just don't like that..on either side.
The fact is, what people like Obama consider patriotism and what you and I consider patriotism are different things. I don't think he hates our country; I just think he sees it differently.
YOU CAN get an idea of who a person is by lookin at their peers.
I don't think the earth's gonna stop if "that one" becomes president; I just think we, as a country, are gonna drift farther from what I believe this country is and should be.
I get what you're saying, but what I really don't get is the difference it's really gonna make in the long run. I mean, we've had a repub. pres. for the last 8 years, but we had dems before him. And we'll have dems again...and again...and again. I think it's advantagous to switch it up..I don't see it as the end, or even the beginning of the end of our country as we know it. Our country is so darn young...this is a blip in the radar.
An example: we went to get Halloween costumes for the girls tonite and the adult costumes are sooo trashy. It's like tv and pop culture. it seems that the pool of those of us who think these type a things degrade us is shrinkin.
It is shrinking..but I don't think as fast as you may think. Look at our gma's generation and what they must be thinking. Sure it's goin that way, but they probably woulda thought 2008 was the end of the world if they had a magic ball to look into.
And look at how our parents who graduated from high school in the 50s, must have felt when they saw the 70s. That must have been something! But they managed to raise us to be somewhere inbetween. (I've always said I was born a generation too late...but I'm thankful for the technology that I have and will see.)
