I raised the coffee table top cuz I remember your "tv tray" comment.

Cool deal!

First of all, your fish tank (w/ ocompanyin fish art) is really neat. Like the bigger fish.

Ok, after my retnas stopped burnin (from the red chair) some observations of your fam rm:
I like the wall color (it'sa good, warm green).
Adjustable coffee tbl is cool.
Fireplace needs somethin to make it pop more.
Blk leather sofas are always ok in my book.

I'd definitely feel comfortable in that rm.

Ah, I see you painted the "register" here as well. Do the walls have a sheen or are the flat?

What the heck is that behind the glowin chair?

Ok, tried not to ask, but explain the paintin(?).
My theory: the der chairs is stategically placed to draw your attention from the paintin, right?

Actually, I kinda like it; the paintin that is.
The red chair just screams "spill somethin on me!"

RecknHavic said...

Ok, Not sure where "der chairs" came from; should say "the chair".

Ahh..tossed that pumpkin on the mantle prior to pick, eh?

I won't be intimidated!

I'd like the color name a the green please.

Linda said...

You makin fun of my red chair? No spills, but there's a burn on the seat. Dang hot musta jumped out.

The fireplace pops more than it used to. I painted the mantle and the surrounding woodwork white..it was natural. But I'll take any suggs.

Walls are flat. Behind the "glowing chair" is a lamp. The fiber optic pumpkin goes up for fall, replaced by fiber optic snowman in the winter. :)

More to the story on that green color...tell ya later.

burning retnas....why I oughtta...

What do you mean "explain" the painting? It's a painting. You hang em on the wall..they add color and hopefully are asthetically pleasing.

RecknHavic said...

Fire optics..coool.

Knew it was a lamp. Or, least that's what I hoped ;)

Was refencin your gma wantin the paintin explained :)

Oh right..I'm a little slow.. I guess I'm havin a hard time discerning sarcasm today.

Watching the debate? I'm torturing my guest.

RecknHavic said...

I watched bits and pieces.
McCau=in sounds like he's talkin in a loud whisper. Obama speaks very well, but I swear, can't recall a thing he said.

From what I saw Obama was clear winner.

Time to face facts, Obama's gonna be prez.

Linda said...

Honey, I faced those facts a long time ago...

It's amazing that people can't see that Obama is going to be horrendous.

Mandating insurance to cover people with pre-existing conditions? That means Joe Six-Pack, can only afford a 2 Pack because his health insurance premiums went up to cover the person with diabetes, aids and heart disease that his insurance company was forced to cover. You're supposed to have insurance BEFORE you get sick, not after.

Lowering taxes on 95% of Americans sounds great, except it raises taxes on the 5% that actually employ people.

Oh, and Obama did say he would attack Pakistan.

By Steve Holland, from al-Reuters Aug. 1 2007

"Obama said if elected in November 2008 he would be willing to attack inside Pakistan with or without approval from the Pakistani government, a move that would likely cause anxiety in the already troubled region.

"If we have actionable intelligence about high-value terrorist targets and President Musharraf won't act, we will," Obama said."

Me too. I've never really believed he had that mucha chance. And I'm not so sure that's a bad thing. As I've splained before.

RecknHavic said...

The insurance thing is a great point. Why the hell didn't McLame make that point?

As far as the Paki thing; this is one instance where I agree w/ Obama. Tho he's backed away from this statement.

McCains message of reform is a good one, he just doesn't have the charisma to convince enough people. Yes, charisma matters in presidential politics.

In 4 years were gonna get a charismatic conservative leader to take on BO and the left and we're gonna wax em.

Palin 2012!

RecknHavic said...

Atleast McSame didn't constantly refer to himself as a "maverick".

Tho the "my friends" thing got on my nerves.

Linda said...

Good golly, Miss Molly, the man is back and with a vengence. Too bad for me I don't have the level of concentration to read it all. Tomorrow..

Defending the red chair...

Originally I had 2 tub chairs in there..the red and a mustard yellow (colors in painting). The yellow one can kinda be seen in the computer room pic. Anyway, I've since moved furn. around.

Linda said...

Did you see the last SNL skit w/ Biden and Palen? Pretty funny. "For those of you playing a drinking game....'maverick'".

RecknHavic said...

What kinda shots (if any) did they take at Biden?

Linda said...

You should youtube it..it's funny.

Biden keeps talkin about how much he loves John McCain.

Nestor said...

The Palin SNL thing is getting old. The first one was actually funny, but they are now getting irritating. They are trying to make her look stupid.

Linda said...

Then you shouldn't youtube it..you won't find it funny.

RecknHavic said...

NBC won't release rights to SNL skit, you have to go to NBC.com. Just google Obama 08 and for some strange reason, NBC pops up.

RecknHavic said...

Ok, I watched it. Several unbiased observations.

The Biden character continually mentions demo talkin points (many of which were ttl bs).
Tina Fey should get a Grammy (or is it Emmy) for her Palin impersonation.
The cont "she's dumb schtick" would be funny if it weren't for the fact that Palin appeared extremely bright durin the actual debate.
The Palin/Clinton skit was funnier.
