One issue I have w/ Palin/McCain :) is this. George W Bush HAS had some successes. Give him some credit where and when credit is due for cryn out loud. They're soooo afraid a bein linked to him. This is onea the BIG problems I have w/ politicos, they never give credit to their opponent when it's deserved.
Another thing about EVERYONE wantin to negotiate w/ Iran. Id like that. I'd like to see them negotiate their way out from underneath some big freakin bombs dropped by US aircraft.

I think she gained the confidence of some people who were painting her as some sort of extremist idiot. So, I'm glad about that. I'm thinkin you're pretty happy.

I wonder how that's decided...I know the first one is by a coin toss...but then how does it work? In a way I think it benefitted Palin cuz she had time to think, but then Biden often had the last word. Thoughts? (she says to herself late at night....)

But if I were walkin in, with no knowledge of either one, I would think Biden answered the questions more clearly.

Well, we got it...and we can't have it both ways. Joe Schmo may not be as politically estute (sp?)...and that comes with being everyday guy/gal. See what I'm sayin?
Biden's had a long time to become polished. He was runnin for freakin president not that long ago...so it's almost like comparing apples and oranges. I knew before goin in that a "winner" was gonna be hard for me to declare, based on that.
McCain, Obama and Biden are part of congress which has about an 11% approval rating, so 3 times as many people think Bush is doing a good job compared to Congress. I'm just sayin'.

I haven't recieved an e-mail back from Michael McCaul. I implored him not to vote for the bailout bill unless the pork was taken out of it. This is the third time I've written him...I think. I haven't received a reply yet. Ditto Kay Bailey Hutchison. When I lived in SA, my congressman was Lamar Smith and he replied every time. I would get a confirmation e-mail within two to three days and usually a form letter stating his position on my e-mail withing two to three weeks. Stand-up guy Lamar Smith. I'd be happy to see him take KB Hutchison's spot when she becomes the next Governor of Texas.

I looked at the records, Smith voted for bailout, McCaul voted against it. I think Smith put party before policy on this one. I think he was trying to help out McCain. bad idea though if you ask me. Anyway, it passed. I don't know how I feel about it yet. I think if McCain is elected, it won't be so bad. If Obama is elected we will go into a depression. I know I'm sounding real optimistic, but man, that guys policies are REALLY bad.

Oh, and tell me THIS isn't weird. I'm sittin behind 3 teenagers..2 girls and 1 guy...the guy's sitting in the middle. During the service the girl on his left puts her arm up on the back of his chair and is running her hand along his back...sorta scratching and rubbing. That's nice.
About 1/2 hour later, the guy starts doin the same thing...TO THE GIRL ON HIS RIGHT. Now how am I supposed to concentrate on the word of god, when I'm thrust into the world of threesomes??

I'm glad you made it to church, though it's strange that you got to see 'the show'. Maybe they were brother and sisters???(like blood brother and sisters, or would that make it even creepier?) I was going to try to say something encouraging beforehand and didn't know what to say. But I'm glad you got there anyway.
