Well, I was only there for 24 hours, but I think I can squeak a couple posts out of the Zoo. We were able to hit campus this morning..long enough to torture my kids with them posing in front of some of my old stomping grounds. Spent 2 years in this dorm, (all girl dorm, thank you very much,) and 2 years in these crappy apartments...(the top balcony and the lowest). Not sure where I was the other 4 years. ;)
The school building is where I had lots of classes..it's old and pretty up on east campus. Surprisingly the colors weren't quite peak yet.

Whaddya mean? Those apartments look lovely.
Which one's the pic of the apartments ;)
Ok, now you got an extra kid.
So what's up w/ the blue wirin? I'm thinkin illegal cable hook-ups.
Funny yall got long sleves and jackets on; still shorts weather here.
Ahhh...the missin four yrs..
maybe you're just blockin it out.
I don't think they've done anything to those apartments since I was there, and it was no palace then. No idea what the wiring is.
Extra kid is my friend's who we visited. (think coma)
Mid 50's.
Ha! I just remembered a dream I had last night... I got a heating bill for $295.00, and I was wigging out cuz it wasn't even winter yet.
Little paranoid?
I give!
For the fourth time in the last several weeks I've attempted to post a comment on a MSNBC blog and they've not allowed it.
It's ironic that the so-called progressive sites won't allow for decentin comments.
I use to enjoy postin at TWC (cause I like weather stuff) but it became too frustratin only gettin every third comment through (tho eventually they didn't allow any of my comments).
Ya know, once they bring back the "fairness doctrine" it's all over.
Ohhh..they're gonna try.
Quote Of The Day
"The only valid censorship of ideas is the right of people not to listen."

I find that strange. Who wants to read all the comments if the people are in constant agreement? Boring.
Bought zuchs tday in hopes of grilling soon. Maybe not tnite...due some good rain here any time. The leaves are really gettin nice here, btw.
That sounds nice. Wish we had more change a season signs here. Leaves do start to change a bit later down the road.
So, how did your race go? Details! Did they like the clues? Did it take the right amount of time? Too easy or too hard? Did the kids do their hunt? Food good?
Speakin of races, did you watch Amazing Race last night? Assuming you did, remember the bit w/ the native New Zealanders doin that dance w/ the tats on their faces? Well, that movie Whale Rider is partially about that... traditional NZ customs and tribal stuff. Have you rented that yet? :)
We made the mistake of forgetn about football runnin over and DVR'd just the beginnin :(
Who got eliminated?
I know..I know..I keep forgetn bout WR. After all the sugs of mine you've ckd out I'm ashamed I haven't gotten it yet.
Soon.
The southern blonde girls are out.
It's alright. I'm really not sure if you'll like it, it's a real character piece, not action packed. Not sure where you stand on stuff like that.
Well, I'm goin to bed. I'm really struggling w/ this flu thing still. D insists it's cold in here and I'm on fire. ugh. Have a good night!
The Amazing Grace Race was really fun. Tho I wish we'da had more participants, still e1 had a good time.
There were 3 teams of 4ea (one w/ three). We did have to make a last minute switch as we realized 10 min before start that the libraries close at 5 (our next to last destination was a library). So we found an alternate one and had em stop sooner there.
The "task" there was as follows(had C there to say the followin): All resources in the library may be used to answer the following question, "what's a hen weigh?"
This should make you feel better, all 4 teams struggled w/ it.
Some of the "legs" were: They had to go into a convience store and buy a bottle of Ozarka (worked it out w/ owner to give them a clue in lue of change); had to go to dog park and identify a certain dog and it's owner and get next clue from him (it was my cuz Sharp who was wearin a hawian shirt) and told them on precedin clue they had to find the Big Kahuna; sent em on a hikin trail; to a duck pond; Ed Clark's Christmas House (clue "tbe" was wrapped like a present); and ended at a restaurant.
It's funny, first 3 teams arrived w/in 7 or 8 mins of each other but second team received their order of bean and cheese nachos first and won the game.
All in all..good time.
Gonna do it again in the spring.
I might like it. Ya know, Duke's movies were mostly character, not story.
You quit taken the zinc, didn't you ;)
Get some antis for cryn out loud and feel better soon.
I wanna go! That sounds so fun. How long did it take the "first team to arrive"?
I did stop. I thought if I had to pop one more a those...
Next time I'll try Zicam.
Got the oldest home now sick.
Durn colds and flu. You feelin any better yet?
Was shootin for race to take 2 1/2 to 3 hrs, but first team got there in just under 2 hrs. But our last minute course change shaved off about 10 to 15 mins drive time. So, all in all it was actually planned out pretty well.
Just noticed yall are headed for the 30s this week.
Cool astro pic today, but Gloria Steinem quotes, yuck!
The quote I see is Groucho Marx. ??
I like it: "Those are my principles, and if you don't like them...well, I have others."
Oh I'm better, just not where I'd like to be yet. Cough seems to be better tday. I emailed my Choi instructor this morning..probly thinks I fell off the face of the earth. Not sure I've got the energy to train yet. Gonna have to put off my belt test till Dec., oh well.
30's eh? I left the heat off last night..think the low was around 40. Brrrr.
