Thanks E.W.!

I'd like to thank Entertainment Weekly for finally coming out with a magazine cover that I don't feel comfortable leaving on my coffee table! Well done! If I wanted soft porn layin around, I'd....lay around soft porn. Oh, you know what I mean.

And look, Paranoid Reck! You should be proud of me, I took a page out of your playbook!

So, you're not worried about traceable postal codes I see.

I'm kiddin...I think.

Note book's the only one a those I've seen. Pretty good movie.

Awhile back we were talkin about food (go figure) and the topic of pigs in a blanket came up. Well, tonite I made breakfast for dinner (no sausage for piab tho) and it reminded me of when we stopped to eat on the way back from campin. We were at a greasy spoon and they had it on their menu. So I order it but unfortunately there pancakes were overcooked and really, they didn't make em proper.

I realize that's a long way from the post topic, but what the hell.

Not...paranoid...enough.

There's pancakes involved in pigs in a blanket?

So? How was the turkey this morning? It was dry, wasn't it? Dang it! I knew I shoulda called Chuck to have him remind Mrs. Whatshername to check it sooner. She tends to overcook them.

Our church feast was real good today. Great sermon about bein thankful from the other churches preach too.

Fixin to watch Get Smart.

Actually thay smoked the turkey. One of the fellas at church has one a those Scooter type set-ups.

Later gator.

Ok, but when you come back I wanna know more about the pigs in pacakes. I'm thinkin it's just a bigger version of my little smoky links in croissants.

I'm watching the AMA's. I'd heard of the Jonas Brothers, they're big w/ the teeny boppers, so I figured they were like Hanson was. They just performed and those boys rocked it out! Pretty darn good I thought.

Curious to see what you guys thought of your movie. I really like Steve Carell, but I wasn't horribly interested in that movie for some reason. Actually, I like Anne Hathaway, too.

RecknHavic said...

It was surprisingly funny. Bein a big Get Smart fan when I was a kid I had my doubts. And while there's no one quite like the original (Don Adams) Carell was pretty funny. Some real laughs in this.
I'd seen Hathaway in that princess movie (remember, I have girls) but nothin else. She's all growed up, and darn good lookin!
Seen the Jonas bros on tv (disney channel) thought their music was ok. From what I understand they're pretty good kids.

You're thinkin of a kolache. Tho a real kolache actually is a flat donut w/ jelly in the center. Anyhow, they call lil smokies cooked in a bisket kolaches down here now.

Pigs in a blanket is a sausage link (not link sausage) wrapped in a pancake.

Linda said...

Hm. Maybe I'll have to rent that then.

Alright, I googled pigs in a blanket, only because I don't trust you. And I clicked on 5 different sites, all of which used crescent rolls and most used hotdogs. Maybe things are just bigger in Texas.

Princess movies and Jonas Brothers, eh? If I have any High School Musical questions I'll know who to ask. I like how you felt the need to remind me you had girls, like your manhood was in question. ha!

RecknHavic said...

Actually, sausage links aren't that big. Those sites you went to are full of it.

Hey, I've got a rep to protect.

What're yalls plans for TG?
Me, I got work cept for thurs :(

Oh right. The "everyone's wrong but me" thing. I get it.

Well, dinner at my parents' place, watch the Lions go down in flames on the telly, then up north either Friday morning, or if D has to work Friday, then Friday night.

I took 73 pictures of the boys today. Christmas card pics. I picked one, now I have to go order em. Good timing, too. We're gettin hit with some snow tomorrow. Would have been pretty, but colder, as I had em out on the playground w/ out jackets on.

Linda said...

I really need to sleep. See ya later!

RecknHavic said...

We've never done the fam photo as a card thing, sounds neat.

Up north, still saounds funny, cause you're ALREADY up north. Way up there in fact.

Fixin to hit it.

Yo habla e tu manana.

I always though PIB were little hotdogs in a croissant too. Well, everything's bigger in Texas. We did Thanksgiving yesterday since I'm working Thursday. We had friends over from SA this weekend anyway, so we figured, why not get a turkey. Carmen was bummed that we couldn't find any chestnuts though, they'll probably be out tomorrow. :(

One day I'm gonna introduce yous guys to proper pigs in a blanket and chicken fried steak. One day...

Speakin a day, here's today's thought..

Atheism is a non-prophet organization.

Linda said...

Well if your pibs are anything like your cfs, I cannot WAIT for that one day! I'm kidding, kidding... (?)

We're not north. You my dear, are very far south.

The cards do come out cute. Some people send the whole family, but I don't wanna be in it. Hard part is gettin creative year after year. If I can dig some up, I'll post some. Last year I was on GBB when I looked out and the kids were playin in the snow so I ran out and took it. Doubt you remember that but I do for some reason.

Linda said...

Didja have a tofu turkey Nestor? Mmmmm.... ;) Hope you had a nice early TG.

Don't believe I've ever had a chestnut. But if I ever run across one, I plan on roasting it on an open fire whilst Jack Frost nips at my nose.

I was just looking at the map of the states and I was wondering. Is there any kind of story behind that bit of Oklahoma that juts out above your TX panhandle? It's so strange. Why doesn't the TX border just extend up to Colorado and Kansas? Do you know how many miles that little piece is across, like from TX to CO?

RecknHavic said...

I always heard that Oklahoma is the land that Texas, Colo, Kansas, ect didn't want. I'm just sayn..

Watched "Knocked Up" tnite. Wasn't much interested in it, but caught it on HBO and gave it a shot. It was very reminiscent (sp?) of 40 Yr. Old Virgin. Good laughs in some spots c/o good writing, somewhat crude, lotsa f-words. Generally, we liked it.

RecknHavic said...

Yeah, 40 Yr Old was funny, tho I'd probably not watch it now due to the amount a bad language.
