...And After

Finished! I positioned the pictures the same way I did the "before" post, but I backed up a bit to show the border. I was a good girl and primed with border primer stuff so that if I ever wanna take it off, it's supposed to be easier. Oh, and I like to get new light switch plates, so I did.

I went retro....ordered these metal signs and border on line where they sell a bunch of stuff like that. Anyway, it's much better and I'm glad it's done.

I know what you're saying about the door, but it's a steel door and it was painted. I could have painted the trim, but then I'd have to do everything white, and I didn't want to. What you can't see is to the left of that, that whole wall is folding closet doors. I'm not painting those, there's no point. So that was my dilemma.

(You realize you're supposed to just say "It looks great, Linda!" cuz..well..it's done now. And you wouldn't want me looking at that door every day thinking, "Reck's right, that door looks outta place." It's a little like telling your wife right before the party that you don't really like the dress she bought. IT'S TOO LATE. Never do that.)

Well, if it was already painted ya couldn't stain it; so what do I know. The rm looks great, btw. I like the color you picked alot.

I'm sure the dress is nice too.

Near the top there?

Now I can't NOT see him. It's a beautiful picture, tho. Even with cosmic bald dude weaseling in there.

Hey, ya know what I COULD do in regards to that door...if I painted the trim around it a different color than white. If I painted it white, it'd look like I didn't finish the baseboards, etc. BUT, if I painted it something like the pale green in the border (I know, just hear me out), it would look like a choice in design if you know what I mean. I originally was thinking about painting the door purple or something, but I was afraid it'd look like a nursery next to the yellow walls. But I could do the trim a funky color. I wonder if it would look better than the wood. I'm thinking yes.

I like that idea. BUT, since the trim has a varnish, be sure and prime it w/ an oil based primer first.

I know.

Sooo..are you watchin the Oscars tonite ;)
