Another first day of school! I could just refer you to last year's stick people drawing, cuz it was pretty much the same thing, but this year was kinda special. This is the last "first day of school" where Tony and Ben will be going on the same bus, to the same school, until Tony's a senior in high school. (Hence, the matching clothes....I'm thinkin that year they won't let me dress em like Frick and Frack.)
Pretty cool. I don't know about the dressing alike thing, but if they don't mind, it's all good. I guess in T's senior year, he might be driving to school though eh?
I was wondering how you were doing as I hadn't seen you commenting in awhile. Did you get caught up on your Harry Potter while you were on your blogger hiatus?
Ha..I know, Nestor. If T had a collared shirt that fit besides that one, I would have used it. I'm about lookin good the first day, and these shirts were just bought for a family photo. From Spring to Fall, they grow so much..haven't shopped yet. So there's the answer to the overly matching thing. :) Driving? Can't even imagine...
Thanks..yeah, I did slow down on the blogger front this summer. (No...no Harry Potter!) Just up to no good. My brain is in dire need of usage. Glad you're writin more.
Yeah, that summer heat you guys hafta suffer through must make the fall seem nice. No complaints here tho, we've had some darn good rain & mild temps these last couple a days. Course, the only job I have lined up is a sm exterior..and all the grass is turnin green..but hey, least e1 round here is happy.
The aquifer's up about 4 feet over the last week and that doesn't count todays rain. I don't know what they got around your way, or even South Austin, but we got a ton tonight. Plus, it hasn't been that hot over the last few days. I think today topped out in the mid 80s. I may have to start breaking out my sweaters if it gets much colder.
Yeah,it's a sad day, but one where we can be proud as well. Those people that risked and those that gave their lives ...it's really unbelievable. This is the first yr we let lil one watch alotta the stuff that happened that day. She seemed real thoughtful before goin to bed.
I'm not sure if you guys saw the video that I posted over at Stan's and on Facebook. If not, here's the link. It's real good. A bit of a tear jerker, but good.
We saw some stuff yesterday that i hadn't seen before, a compilation of videos from everyday Joe's in NY that day; very powerful stuff. i'll ck-out your link.
Reck, I don't know whether to congratulate you for the Coogs win, or be mad. The Big 12 is lookin' pretty weak. Texas will probably need to win out.
Oh, and Linda, I am mad at your team. ND was the team I rooted for growing up since there's no decent College Football team in the Northeast. I hoped they'd have a good year this year, not so much.
Thanks for the almost congrats. Hey, HUGE win for the UH and long overdue. Don't worry, your Horns will be playn in aalotta BCS gms before we ever will; tho if it falls right this yr we might.
Go Blue!! Sorry bout that Nestor, but that was some game, wasn't it? Very exciting stuff. Now I'm settled in to watch the Lions beat New Orleans! (Oh crap..they just said the Saints had the highest scoring offense last year. Ummmm...)

Seems like a happy group.
Yes, even those of us who don't reside on the equator wear shorts. I'm about done, tho...bring on the fall!! Next month...Halloween!! Yahooooooo!
B said today..."Mom..the thing I don't like about school? It lasts the ENTIRE DAY!"
Must seem like it does to em.

It's way too early in the day to have cried this much already. This day sucks the life out of me.

That was good, Nestor..thanks for the link!
I just watched the morning stuff and called it a day. Had the kiddos wear red, white and blue and took the annual pic, tho!
