The Itsy Bitsy Spider

I took these pics the other night. While I was watching the spider, a little moth type thing crashed into the web and the spider wasted no time going to get him. That's him in the lower left corner of the web munchin down. (Technically this is a food related post, so someone should be happy.)

He then quickly made his way back to the middle. Couldn't get a great angle on the web, but it's gorgeous, eh?

Linda said...

You're just sayin what exactly? You're certainly not calling me heartless! Yeah, I'm gonna stick my fingers in a spider web and pull out an insect. Not to mention, there wouldn't have been time. Now you're makin me feel bad.

RecknHavic said...

Was kiddin.

See my new (finally) post at RB2.

The three at TH I've been workin on got to be too much.

When exactly are we doin draft? And ya better get ready for the Halloween deco contest. Oh, I didn't forget.

Linda said...

Oh.

Throw out another time that's good for you guys.

I was secretly hoping you forgot.

Linda said...

Oh, just remembered, D'll be out of town tues-thurs. so we need to draft in the next three days. You pick which is best for you.

RecknHavic said...

How bout sunday evenin.

If yall wanna back outta the Halloween thing, it's ok ;)

Linda said...

Sunday's good. Tnite's good too if it's better. Whatever.

Oh right, like if I backed out, I'd ever live that one down. We're in. I just couldn't remember if it's outdoor decs or pumpkin carving or both. It's gonna be October before ya know it! I noticed this morning, my neighbor's tree is starting to change already.

Linda said...

I was just thinkin...I could take a picture of someone else's house all Halloweened out and you'd never know the difference. Hmm.....

RecknHavic said...

Ha, never thought a that. Now I'm thinkin a just get some pics outta a magazine.

I say we keep it friendly. Outside and pumpkins will do.

Linda said...

Keep it friendly..ha. Oh alright then.

I think I might notice the magazine pics... you're no Martha Stewart. How many gourds are we carvin?

RecknHavic said...

Atleast five (e1 gets there own).

Actually, we were thinkin a backin off on the decos for H; cause we of our advantage at Christmas (weather, no sub-artic temps, etc). Plus my fanatical urge to create city-wide power outages due to # a lights.

RecknHavic said...

Cr*p, I gotta go to work.

Good luck w/ the test.

Later.

Linda said...

5, eh? Holy cow..that's a lotta jack-o-lanterns. So you're sayin to keep it just to the pumpkins, then?

Linda said...

Well, that test is over! All in all it was good. I re-pulled a muscle in my left leg kickin, and I drew a blank at the beginning of my defense drill. Managed to recover that, but I was pretty ticked at myself. My leg's tightenin up. Next test is November if I stay consistant. I want that orange belt.

Nestor said...

Way to go! Watch out Ralph Macchio!

Linda said...

Thank you, Nestor! I'm learnin a lot. I think I have a fighting instinct that I didn't have before. I like it.

RecknHavic said...

You could take Macchio, he's like 85.

Did you belt up today, or is this just parta the process to the orange?

Ice the leg.

Linda said...

Belted up to gold senior. Orange is Nov.

Yeah, he was relatively old back then, wasn't he? One of those babyfaces.

Sounds cold.

RecknHavic said...

Congrats on your..uh um..senior belt. Oh, they don't mean senior that way do they?

Linda said...

NO. They don't. You get a solid, then a senior is a black stripe thru it. Smart alec. Better watch those age jokes, spring chicken.

Linda said...

We're watching Mars Attacks.(comedy) Have you seen it? Ack ack ack ack...

The martians come to Earth and meet us. They say they come in peace and then a hippie lets go of a dove and it freaks em out and they start killin everybody. It's got loads of people in it..Jack Nicholson, Glenn Close, Natalie Portman, Michael J. Fox...I could go on and on. (Those are actors, Reck.) Anyway, funny stuff.

RecknHavic said...

Actusally, I will watch it. Sounds like you couls kick my *ss.

RecknHavic said...

What is...actors?

Linda said...

Ok, the Martians apologized and Congress agreed to meet with them. They killed all of Congress.

I'm thinkin Obama would agree to meet them without preconditions.

Linda said...

Jack Nicholson as prez: "Now I want the people to know, that they still have 2 out of the 3 branches of the government working for them...and that ain't bad." Lol!!

RecknHavic said...

Ha!

Ok, just remembered I'm supposed to do the lesson for kid's church manana. I normally just act as a helper. Holy cr*p! It's 10 and I haven't even begun.

Ok, got the packet out and it's supposed to be about Noah and the flood. I think I can handle that. I'll just explain how the flood PROVES that baptism isn't required for salvation ;)

Nestor said...

OK so today I was on a raw food blog and he had a post up about Sarah Palin and the aerial wolf hunting thing and about how terrible it was. Now the guy has a good heart, but he is the typical young uneducated liberal. (I don't mean unschooled, I don't really know how much school he's been to, but there is a difference between schooling and education) He makes his living by selling things, yet he complains about how we are a society that is about buying more, more, more. He complains about censorship on youtube, but he censors people's comments on his blog. (mine and Carmen's at least) Then he complains about Sarah Palin and the wolf hunting, but he is supporting Obama, who is cool with leaving babies to die a death of suffocation without providing medical assistance. I think it is proof that Michael Savage is right, and "Liberalism IS a Mental Disorder!"

Linda said...

Gee, Noah's flood and raw food. Where to start? ;)

Do we really need to put an asterisk in the word cr*p? Is that word that bad?

Babies aren't wolves, Nestor. Get it straight. ;)

Nestor said...

You're right. What was I thinking? I just watched some Obama 'uh' montages on youtube, and also Obama lying to Anderson Cooper about whether he had heard J-Wright say the crazy stuff he said.

RecknHavic said...

Speakin a Noah...

I'm readin Gen chpt 6 & 7 and I'm thinkin that the counts all wrong. What I mean is I don't think it was 2 of every unclean animal and 7 of every clean animal and birds. I'm interpretin this as a ttl a 4 of each unclean and 14 of clean and birds. If you take a male and a female of an animal you can't have 7; that's an odd number.

Any thoughts?

RecknHavic said...

Oh, I simply like the *, that's all.

RecknHavic said...

Oh, by the by...

I gotta work manana after church and I won't be prepared for draft. Possible to do it monday nite? Say 7ish?

RecknHavic said...

Funny Nicholson line btw. I think you could possibly make that argument now as well.

Linda said...

I'm seein that He said take seven pair, not 7 animals. So, one male, one female of 7 animals.

"Take along seven pairs of each animal that I have approved for eating and for sacrifice, and take one pair of each of the others."

Oh good grief.

Linda said...

We'll plan on Monday then. 7:00 your time.

Linda said...

Not prepared for draft? "Inconceivable!" (Princess Bride)

Alright, you folks have a good day tomorrow. Good luck at church JJ, teach em right.
gn

RecknHavic said...

Thanks.

From PB it was the smart guy that said that right?

8 your time got it.

Thanks for the imput; quite the delima.

gnu2

Nestor said...

Yeah, I think Linda's right here. There's a footnote that says 7 pairs, even though the text (NIV) says 7. But I appears for the unclean animals, it's just one male and one female. So it looks like 2 total for the unclean and 14 total for the clean animals.

Nestor said...

How smart was he really?

RecknHavic said...

Ok, it was the alleged smart guy.

NIV:
"Take with you seven of every kind of clean animal, a male and it's mate, and two of every kind of unclean animal, a male and it's mate.." Gen 7:2
Indicates to me that it would be 14 of every clean animal (for sacrifice and eatin) and 4 of every unclean animal.

Well, Kids Church went well, until the end. One a the parents came in and asked if she could quote a verse a Scripture and say a prayer. "No problem" I thought. I asked her to make it quick tho as we were runnin outta time. FIFTEEN MINUTES LATER (w/ all the parents waitn for their kids in the hall)she wraps up her "mini sermon".

Won't make that "mistake" again.

How's the knee, or was it the ankle?

Linda said...

That's funny. Didja look at your watch a lot? That helps.

We had a lovely breakfast and headed to Costco. Wow, people dig Costco on Sundays apparently.

Neither, muscle. It's ok. It's been a problem for a couple months so it's just gonna be longer now. thx.

Linda said...

I was watching the news about a certain bill people are tryin to pass regarding on-line predators, and they kept mentioning things being "attached to the bill", etc. Could someone explain to me why bills aren't just put forth alone? Why are there always other things attached to em? I don't get it.

Linda said...

Maybe I need to watch School House Rock, episode "Bill".

I'm just a bill.
Yes, I'm only a bill.
And I'm sitting here on Capitol Hill.
Well, it's a long, long journey
To the capital city.
It's a long, long wait
While I'm sitting in committee,
But I know I'll be a law someday
At least I hope and pray that I will,
But today I am still just a bill.

RecknHavic said...

It's their way a gettin things through w/out accountability. Those cr*ppy b*st*rds!

Ahhh...Costco. That's how I envision Heaven, one big Costco in the sky. Not sure if they have the free sample selection/volume on sundays that they do on sats. Last sat me & the girls basically ate a free lunch there. Hey, we ARE members and membership has it's privileges.

Skippin work today. Feelin alittle under the weather (possibly gettn a cold) :(

RecknHavic said...

Is that a real SHR thingy? If so, that's pretty funny.

Linda said...

It's real...one of my favs. A cute little bill sittin on the Capitol steps. Google for whole thing if you so desire.

We went to Costco after breakfast...dummies.

Linda said...

We were eyein up that 42 inch Vizio. You still liking yours? I'm thinking Christmas money.

Linda said...

And I always feel a little guilty eating the samples when I have no intention of buying the product. I feel compelled to listen to their speil.. nod and smile.. pretending all the while that I actually care about what they're saying. It can be stressful.

Linda said...

Football update!

Nestor's Giants Win In OT!!

linda's lambs suck eggs.

RecknHavic said...

Highly recommend it.

Yeah, as I texted, we got there too late. Not enough sample stations to do our 'pass through several times' plot either. Oh, never try their healthy drink samples..yuck!

I feel the same way. My cover is to always ask somethin about it like, "hmm, how many carbs" or "can ya slow cook it". I'm lookin for stuff they can't answer so that it gives me an out :)

Fixin to play DVD Clue after dinner here.

I'll google it.

Ha, typed this comment several hours ago and never hit publish. Anyhow, the boy won at Clue.

Linda said...

Sorry to hear that, Mrs. Meadowbrook.

"Can ya slow cook it?"...that's hilarious! I'll have to remember that.

I'm watching the Emmy's. Waiting to hear if there's buzz about a writer (?) of the John Adams miniseries gettin cut off during his speech about the appreciation of the writers of the Constitution, tomorrow. They went to commercial w/out warning..pretty obvious brush off. Oh, there's plenty of time for the liberal talk about the upcoming election.

I swear, ya'll ruined this whole Hollywood thing for me. Now I'm catching more than I'd like. I will NOT give up the Oscars!!

Hollyweird has been this way for decades and the blinders coverin your eyes have lifted. Unfortunetly, it WILL change the way you look at actors/actresses and the programs you watch.

“Things do not change; we change.”

Henry David Thoreau

Linda said...

Well I was plenty happy with the blinders on! I don't wanna think. I wanna go "Yipee! Kevin Spacey won!"

That quote is actually strangely profound. Dang it.

RecknHavic said...

Well, it is Thoreau..

Just finished my Sur research. I'm ready!
7 manana right? Figure we'll do it here, eh.

RecknHavic said...

Linda said...

Good morning! Hope you're feeling better today...

Checked out the video on GB. Some people are just f'ed up. Don't know how to submit pic..I'll see if I can find out somehow on the Insider site.

RecknHavic said...

Thanks, I'll try the e-mail thing. Yeah, if there's an Insider inside track, that'd work as well.

Lotta trabajo...feel crappy...have a nice day.
